Their time is gone[LULAC, NAACP]

Their time is gone

I read the article in the Feb. 19 edition about Geraldo Rivera applauding LULAC’s mission. Believe me, I’m not an idealist, but I am a thinker. What would happen if LULAC and the NAACP went away? I believe we would all be fine.

It seems to me that organizations that represent people solely on the basis of race tend to be more racist than the causes that they fight so adamantly against. Why can’t we have a single Chamber of Commerce that represents Hispanic and black interests as well as their traditional goals? Wouldn’t that serve the public better than having separate chambers?

Why would it be such a horrible thing to suggest that LULAC’s time has come and gone? I believe wholeheartedly that LULAC represented its people well in the past, but perhaps it’s time to promote solidarity rather than protecting the interests of a single people. Why can’t a League of United American Citizens replace a narrow minded agenda and represent the community as a whole without respect to race? Why not fight for every little guy without a voice rather than examining his skin color first? It’s time for all of us to move on, and get rid of the same old stale ideas that get us nowhere.

Rick Barrera

I recall about a year or so ago Geraldo Rivera openly boasting on Fox News that he was a "fellow traveler" of Jane Fonda -that the two would visit at each other's homes during those times. The dopey Fox people on with him didn't react at all to his remarks.

Paging Eric Holder. Paging Eric Holder.

Eric Holder's role in the pardons of BLA (Black Liberation Army) comrades/Weather Underground members, Susan Rosenberg and Linda Evans (Brinks Truck robbery and triple murder):

"Fraunces Tavern is a restaurant and museum in lower Manhattan, New York City. It was built on the site of a former building which played a significant role in pre-Revolutionary activities, and in which, on 4 December 1783, General George Washington bade farewell to his officers at the end of the Revolution, before returning to his home, Mount Vernon."

"During the 1970s and 1980s, FALN members set off at least 138 bombs in five major U.S. Cities. Six Americans were killed in those attacks. One of those bombings, in January 1975, was at the historic Fraunces Tavern in lower Manhattan while patrons were at lunch. The explosion killed four and injured more than 50."

"Between 1974 and 1985 the FALN (Puerto Rican Armed Forces of National Liberation) organized 120 terrorist bombings in the United States. Many Americans were killed in those bombings, and many more were crippled. In 1983, another Puerto Rican terrorist group known as the Macheteros, attacked and robbed a Wells Fargo armored car in Connecticut. The Macheteros intended to use the money to finance a terrorist campaign against the United States. Working under the cover of Puerto Rican nationalism and claiming to act on behalf of the 'oppressed people of Puerto Rico,' the FALN and the Macheteros are nothing but Communist revolutionaries. Both groups were organized by Fidel Castro's secret police. The ultimate goal of the FALN and the Macheteros is the creation of an independent Marxist-Leninist dictatorship on the island of Puerto Rico."

Sometimes the TV pans over the audience at a NAACP event. It looks like an AARP convention. You’ve never seen so many Geezers in one place. Time will finish them off soon enough.

June, 1970 -- Kerry joins Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), a national veterans group that is part of the Peoples Coalition for Peace and Justice. The PCPJ is a broad coalition of local and national organizations, including the Communist Party, USA, "committed to conducting demonstrations aimed at ending the war in Indochina, and poverty, racism and injustice at home." The VVAW, CCI and PCPJ all have headquarters at 156 Fifth Avenue in New York City. VVAW Executive Secretary Al Hubbard, a former Black Panther, is also on the coordinating committee of the PCPJ. Hubbard soon appoints Kerry to the VVAW's Executive Committee, bypassing the normal election process.

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:
"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."

From the Maoist Internationist Movement:
[1960s/original] Black Panther Party [BPP] Archives
From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROES

"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo.

Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.

The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."

To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

If LULAC and the NAACP went away, the world would be a better place.

Take the ACLU with you...

Why aren’t our enemies in the Muslim world crippled with this evil in their midst? It’s hard to fight the bad guys and the aid and abettors to our enemies at the same time!
