Bruce Springsteen isnt the rock n roll Obama. U2 is.
The Boss tried to sell Working on a Dream as the flip side to yes we can, but Springsteens latest is W.-style art - blunt, burgers-and-fries, stay-the-course-through-diminishing-returns rock.
Its U2s new No Line on the Horizon - now streaming for free on U2s MySpace [website] page and in stores March 3 - that personifies No. 44. U2 was Obama before Obama was: political sloganeers of hope, from Beautiful Day to Pride (In the Name of Love).

I downloaded U2’s new album for free. It sucked.
Anyone know how Bruce’s sale are, I noticed that few are gone from the displays at Walmart?
Well, you seem to have a bad attitude and will have to be re-educated in the coming months.
After Joshua Tree, I fizzled on them.
Me too. Went to see them in the ‘early days’. One of the best concerts I’ve been to. Oh, well.
Ridiculous title for a ridiculous article. AMAZING album.
Saw them quite a few times here in Denver. Saw the famous Red Rocks show before they were really famous. It was so rainy and cold and before a big crowd showed up, Bono came out and talked with the fans that had showed up. I got his autograph on my ticket stub. Traveled to Sun Devil Stadium in AZ to see the Joshua Tree tour. I think we paid $5/ea for the tickets. For some reason they were offering them up here in Denver for really cheap.

Then we got Obama: The Ice Cream.

I thought the insanity might end at Obama: The Wristwatch.

But noooooooooooooo!!!!
Now we have, Obama: The Album!!!!!
I swear, America has become Jonestown.
Same here
(Famous Casey Kasem outtake:
“That’s the letter U and the numeral 2; the four man band features...Larry Mullins on bass, Dave Evans, nicknamed
‘the Edge’ on—this is bulls-—! Nobody cares! These
people are from _England_, and who gives a s-—? Just a,
just a lot of wasted names that don’t mean diddlys-—!”)
Pardon me while I barf.
gag me w/ a spoon
U2 - worse than waterboarding
