I can’t imagine how the Chinese would be able to take private land, as this is government debt. Wouldn’t they only be able to take federal government-owned land? Any legal experts?

CHINA IS A WONDERFUL NATION AND I LOVE THEIR LEADERS!

PS: Contact me for information on my fellow citizens who I would consider dangerous to the wonderful and benevolent communist government!

Oh, I thought you were Professor Leonide.

Silly! Everything belongs to the government. They're just kind enough to let you hold it for them for a while.

Just ask BJ "Land-Grab" Clinton if there is such a thing as "private property" in the US.

You're assuming that private land belongs to anyone other than the government. Try not paying taxes on it for a while and see who ends up owning it.

I suspect our government would take it for them.

There are far worse potential endings for Americans than being taken over by the Chinese.

And the nominees are...?

How many screen names with Leonide or some other troll derivative are you planning to use. This is the 2nd one I've seen today.

Who´s professor Professor Leonide, and who said, “Hu Jintao is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I’ve ever known in my life.”

This thread is philosophical right? No one is here desiring a takeover of the U.S. by an enemy force, that’s actually the least of our worries. We’re in more danger from BHO than the Chinese or anyone else on a good day.

“Zimbabwe, Mexico, China, Iran”

I would take any one of those countries before China. None even have the strength or population to hold the territory.

You should of quit when you were only a little behind.

The article doesn't explain how Hillary Clinton has any authority to allow China to do this, much less to make an agreement as extra-legal sounding as this is without congressional approval. It's a frightening article, but it's also suspiciously short on details and therfore a lousy article. It wouldn't surprise me though that our SoS is bending over on command in order to get the red Chinese to finance her boss's debt.
