Impressive. It was obviously a labor of love.
The Temple was probably located on the site of what today is the Dome of the Rock
Utter ridiculousness, using the word probably. To write the caption as such puts the author on the same level as silly revisionist Islamics who think that they can just say it never existed, destroy archeological evidence and be taken seriously by people who aren't fed the Arabian version of 1984.
I don’t know. A handful of people here make it sound like the man was crazy. The scope and attention to detail in the model are unusual, but I don’t see how it is crazy. Imagine if you took every moment most males spend on sports and focused it into building this model. Would it really seem so obsessive? Or the time that most females spend on their appearances or keeping up with “fashion”. Over the course of thirty years, it just doesn’t seem all that bad. Rather, it seems like a much more constructive way to spend one’s down time than is the norm.
bttt for biblical interest
