Feeling Bullish? (Larry Kudlow running against Chris Dodd??)
The Corner @ National Review Online ^ | February 27, 2009 | Kathryn Jean Lopez

Will Larry Kudlow run for senate against Chris Dodd? From Steve Moore:

Republicans in Washington think they may have found their man to pick up a Senate seat in Connecticut in 2010: Larry Kudlow, the former Reagan budget advisor, Wall Street economist and now CNBC TV news anchor. The Internet is abuzz with the chatter of a Kudlow for Senate boomlet, which has even hit the Drudge Report.

In an interview yesterday, Mr. Kudlow confirmed to me that he did sit down for dinner with Senate Republican Campaign Committee Chairman John Cornyn “to hear him out on the idea.”

Just so you know where I am coming from, I am a legal immigrant who is the most ANTI-ANYTHING-ILLEGAL including immigration. I am especially angry about all the crimes committed by illegals. Prisons and jails are full of them and more are roaming the streets.

I know personally a few Mexicans who are legal immigrants and contributing to wealth creation via jobs and businesses.
Please don’t paint all people from Mexico with one paint brush. That shows shallow and thoughtless and prejudicial thinking on your part.

Stuff it. I won’t be browbeaten by someone who “knows personally a few Mexicans...” blah blah blah. I’ve lived my entire life in rural Southern California buddy, and I’m not talking about the precious few truly legal immigrant laborers. I know the real deal.

Kudlow: “As a free trader, I favor the Bush comprehensive immigration reform plan, which includes better border security, temporary worker cards, and ultimately, a path to citizenship.”

Good luck trying to get a Scott Garrett-type elected in CT, MA, VT or NH. It will NEVER happen. Don't make the perfect the enemy of he good.

Dodd is such an oily bromide packed porkchop, Kudlow would murder him in debates.

Senator Salazar, Governor Richardson, Senator Martinez, Actor George Lopez, etc. are all descendants of Mexicans. Each one of them have achieved far more than you ever will.

Incidently as you may have surmised from my handle, I am not of Mexican descent. And I won’t tell you to stuff it, because my parents raised me to be be civil.

Connecticut being such a liberal blue state, Dodd will prevail over any repub, but the debate will be a dandy with Kudlow!

Each of your pathetic examples are a disgrace to this country. All LA RAZA symps.

Wouldn’t it be novel to have someone in the Senate who actually KNEW something about business?

Permabull vs permabear. Both having no use for libtards! Sounds like a good primary contest!

GOOD! I will be happy to donate to Kudrow campaign. Chris Dodd is one of the worst, and corrupt Senators currently serving in Congress. He is one of the poster boys for everything that is wrong in Washington.

. I said he is an elitist who doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to illegal immigration, one of Reagan’s greatest failures.

I guess that means he might be just as terrible as Ronald Reagan, then? I'm sure we can do much better than that in Connecticut!

Why is it that so many of us conservatives are still seeking the perfect candidate. He does not exist. Reagan wasn’t even perfect. He, too, had his faults. Let’s win with the conservatives we have, not the conservatives we want. Having said that, would I ever vote for the 3 headed monster of Snowe, Collins and Spector. Never. But when a conservative does come around, let us critique but not destroy.
