Rush Limbaugh calls on conservatives to take back nation
CNN ^ | February 28, 2009 | Staff

Rush Limbaugh brought a cheering crowd to its feet several times Saturday in Washington as he called on fellow conservatives to take back the country in the keynote speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

"We conservatives have not done a good enough job of just laying out basically who we are because we make the mistake of assuming that people know. What they know is largely incorrect, based on the way we're portrayed in pop culture, in the drive-by media, by the Democrat party," the conservative talk show host told a mostly-young crowd of energized supporters.

"We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals. We love and revere our founding documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independent. We believe that the preamble of the Constitution contains an inarguable truth, that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, liberty, freedom. And the pursuit of happiness," he said, pausing several times for enthusiastic applause.

Looking ahead to the 2012 election, Limbaugh said conservatives will have to choose the right candidate to take the country back.

Oh, good timing, I had just posted this regarding the hatefest on CNN just after Rush had addressed CPAC:

Quote was from this thread: CNN Host: Adultery 'Unfortunately' Declining Due to Recession

Sure it wasn’t just a joke? Sounds like it to me.

My wife was curious and tuned into CNN after Rush Limbaugh's address to CPAC. She's Colombiana and has come to love to listen to Rush Limbaugh's show. She wanted to hear what the "enemy" was broadcasting while Rush was speaking. CNN was the only other station outside of CSPAN that had anything about Rush.

We listened as within second of the end of Rush's speech CNN was broadcasting emails where people stated the GOP was desperate if Rush could express their ideals and so on. It was a disgusting hate fest read with gusto by the CNN propaganda officers. I was astounded they could be so hateful and realized that had been preparing well in advance in order to mount such a verbal onslaught within seconds of the speech.

Having that performance in mind, I just don't put much beyond the hate of anything American at CNN. I'm inclined to believe this was no joke. I just don't share a sense of humor with my enemies while they're laughing about the destruction of our nation.

Any other station? Sure...joke. NOT CNN...

Anyway, had to share that, it's still sticking in my mind this morning.

End quote.

We thought Rush was very good, except for his straying from some points he was making without completing them first. In the end, he really did well, though.

Sadly - Rush refuses to acknowledge that the nation is overrun with miscreants, morons, slobs, welfare addicted, Leftists, fagots, career criminals, lifelong drug addicts, whores, pimps and your general run of the mill assholes..

The Democrats have succeeded in their goal:

They have society reduced to the lowest common denominator and ripe for the introduction of the super nanny state...

It may already be too late to reverse the toilet flush.

a crazy antiamerican libtard zero spending like a drunk sailor, talking about banning guns & cutting & running from Iraq might just be the best thing that could happen to the conservative movement right now.

Just curious—is your wife paisa? Very industrious and entrepreneurial group and those I know personally are politically conservative.

Rush pointed that out at least once in his speech.

He made a very good point that the Dems could easily wipout the Republican party by asking Americans to be the best that they can be; only they don’t want that. They’d prefer that we are told how much we need the government’s help so that they can step in with the answers. And that they have succeeded in making dependents....

I was pumped after watching the short 1hr+ speech. You’re lamenting the decline and fall of America when the restoration of our principles requires optimism.

I have been watching Beck punching the thick skull of that sneering little punk for over 5 minutes.

I occurs to me that the problem Glenn is having is that he is hitting him on his head.

From past experience I found that unless you use an axe handle on people like that they will not go down.

I found that kicking them in the crotch, or shins, goes a long way in making them pay attention.

I thought it was Glenn Beck ... seems, upon a closer look, that it's Rush.

Excuse please?

After watching Rush, I am reinvigorated. As always, he hit a grand slam.

Is it any wonder why the Democrats hate him?

You really ought to at least listen to the speech before you complain about what was or was not in it.

Make NO mistake!! Obama and his ACORN "brownshirts" will even better organized than they were during the election. Especially now that we will be funneling billions of dollars to their cause via the Porkulus bill. I see yesterday's speech by Rush as "the shot heard 'round the world"... Or... all this hideous spending will be seen as Conservatives' Pearl Harbor... as Nagumo said "awakened a sleeping dragon". The hard part in this will be actually winning the election as the Dem machine has no perfected the art of stealing elections. It will take a HUGE victory to overcome the election fraud they are so good at.

LOL..... Think you need another cup of coffee to wake up this morning. hehe Seriously though, I think Glenn Beck is really giving Rush a lot of competition. Not to say Rush is losing. I have been a Rush Limbaugh fan ever since he started doing his shows live on TV back in the 80s? There's no one better than Rush to fire up the Conservative Base. Glenn has come on the scene at the right time to help Rush, Sean and other Conservative Talk Show Host get the message out that this Country needs so much.

Folks are not going to be looking for "hate" (e.g., CNN); they are going to be looking for something genuine. Something real. Something they can do and wrap their hands around. Rush is carrying that message.

People sometimes forget the origins of Jazz, and all the factors which conspired to bring a new message to a very depressed nation during the Great Depression.

This is also the beauty of the Tea Parties. Musicians used old instruments to craft an entirely new way of presenting old and new songs. People gathered to dance. The key is ... improvising -- making do with what you have and fashioning it into something very usable.

Who is John Galt? Ask Rush. :)

lol! Rush knows all about those. And so do you and I. And?

When haven't thieves, deceivers, and liars not been among us? It's a John Wayne "True Grit" moment in our nation's history. We either answer that call or we don't.

Don't let the cunning "whisperers" ruin your day, and nag and take over your psyche - you know, those "voices" that make one fearful. It's "300" time. Raise your shield, shake your spear. It's how the best parts of history have happened. And it's now. Again.

Life really is more about how we "see" than how we "look".

Rush's First Televised Address to the Nation: Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Speech (transcript)
The American people may not all vote the way we wish them to, but more Americans than you now live their lives as conservatives in one degree or another. And they are waiting for leadership. We need conservative leadership. We can take this country back. All we need is to nominate the right candidate. It's no more complicated than that.
Spot on!

John McCain, IMO, wasn't the right candidate.

The Constitution doesn’t say this. It’s the Declaration of Independence.

But don’t mention it to anyone, Libtards won’t know the difference.

So much for Rush’s 99% correct record.
