Limbaugh at CPAC (RINO David Frum whining)
The New Majority (of weasels) ^ | March 02, 2009 | David Frum

Posted on 03/02/2009 2:49:34 PM PST by SolidWood

President Obama and Rush Limbaugh do not agree on much, but they share at least one thing: Both wish to see Rush anointed as the leader of the Republican party. Here’s Rahm Emanuel on Face the Nation yesterday: “the voice and the intellectual force and energy behind the Republican party.”

What a great endorsement for Rush! (And we know Rush is fond of compliments – listen to his loving account in his CPAC speech of the birthday lunch given him by President Bush just before Inauguration Day.)

But what about the rest of the party? Here’s the duel that Obama and Limbaugh are jointly arranging:

On the one side, the president of the United States: soft-spoken and conciliatory, never angry, always invoking the recession and its victims. This president invokes the language of “responsibility,” and in his own life seems to epitomize that ideal: He is physically honed and disciplined, his worst vice an occasional cigarette. He is at the same time an apparently devoted husband and father. Unsurprisingly, women voters trust and admire him.

And for the leader of the Republicans? A man who is aggressive and bombastic, cutting and sarcastic, who dismisses the concerned citizens in network news focus groups as “losers.” With his private plane and his cigars, his history of drug dependency and his personal bulk, not to mention his tangled marital history, Rush is a walking stereotype of self-indulgence – exactly the image that Barack Obama most wants to affix to our philosophy and our party. And we’re cooperating! Those images of crowds of CPACers cheering Rush’s every rancorous word – we’ll be seeing them rebroadcast for a long time.

David Frum the Canadian RINO (let's built a new conservatism!) who ranted against Palin, now compares Rush to Jesse Jackson. Not the wimpy fawning about Obamas "softspoken side". BARF.

Why not use Frum to create a new door through which the RINOS can exit?

Everything Liberals do and say is bait for conservatives to bite and be caught. We need to stop “reacting” to their rhetoric and acting on our principles. I agree that Obama’s comments are bait to the conservatives and Republicans because there would be potential problems down the road for Rush. I don’t exactly know what.. But the way Booma is playing his cards leads me to believe they want us to prop up Rush as our leader. Booma’s next move depends on it.. Of course he has contingency plans in place.

The one nice thing about picking Palin, was that it was unexpected from the left. They were suprised and went into reaction mode. If you can keep the other team in reaction mode while you are in action mode, then you are in control. The other team will react to what you do, thus you can wag them wherever you want.

As far as David Frum is concerned, everything is simply political gamemanship and, Frum believes, Rush wants the Republicans to falter so he can look successful by comparison. Politics is G-d to people like David Frum - how did we conservatives ever get fooled by this guy?

Rush said on his radio show today that he cares about the country and keeping it free and not the rise or fall of the republican party.

Is David Frum a paid political tool designed to cause dissension in the Republican Party?

Am I asking too much?

Not only are you asking too much, but you are engaging in wild flights of fantasy, disconnected from reality.

The nice bald black men in suits at your door will take you to a place where you can receieve help - please do not resist them.

Bull. Rush has always said that's what he does NOT want -- as recently again as today, when he said it explicitly.

Frum is one of the “insiders” Rush was targeting. Small wonder Frum will trash him. (Maybe he wants his 15 seconds on Rush’s show).
And no I didn’t read the article. why bother?

“Everything Liberals do and say is bait for conservatives to bite and be caught..”

Too bad Mr. Steele took the bait. Steele is the one that made this mushroom...not Rush!

Rush was in RARE FORM on Saturday. I think, his speech should be recorded and become required viewing in all schools... right after, Al Gore’s BS movie.

THAT, was the message that has a chance to save this country. NOTHING, I’ve heard from Michael Steele even comes close.
