I did not hear the Nazi Comment by Hughley. These poor excuses for journalist in the MSM are real slugs. What was the comment?
Steele is a gun-banning RINO who is on record supporting the reinstatement of the Clinton military-pattern rifle ban (so-called “assault weapon ban”).
He threw Rush under the bus. I’d rather have Rush than Steele.
This RINO must go, or the RNC gets NOT ONE DIME of my money.
Sure, he apologized — but too little, too late. If it had been a sincere apology, he’d have done it immediately after he realized there was a problem. Instead, he waited until he was deluged with emails and phone calls on Monday. He’s a frickin RINO, and is not truly sorry. Screw him.
Rush seems to get himself into trouble with the comments he makes concerning famous people inside/outside of politics such as the Donovan McNabb comments several years back.
Rush is, on occasion, condescending to radio callers when he does not agree with them. It is hard however to dismiss Rush. He has a powerful personalty and is compelling in his arguments when challenged by the occasional intelligent liberal who has the stomach to call in and attempt to engage him. Rush has the larger radio audience because liberal listen to him in great numbers(though few would admit it).
Sean is rarely ever insulting to his callers unless they insult and degrade him. Both use wit and humor to disarm and confound their attackers on the air. Rush has the greater wit while Sean has the thicker skin.
Both however have contributed greatly to the cause. Both have contributed to charities for Police Officers, U.S. Servicemen and there respective families.

Much to Do About Nothing in my opinion. It doesn't make a difference who the RNC Chairman is. Do you really think the Democrats concern themselves with what Wacky Howard Dean says of does?
When I called DL Hughley a slug, I was being kind.
Didn't he realize he was watching the CPAC and Not the GOP Convention? He does injustice to all of the intelligent hard working slugs in this world.
I just don't know how this can be dreamed up and thought of a "reality".
Ok, so you've got an opinion. It's misguided, but ok.
The fact is, Michael Steele is way above the radar for various reasons, and is attracting lots of press. The "press" can use him to injure the cause of conservatism, because of the natural and historical linkage between conservatism and the Republican party.
It matters not that the proles out there can't differentiate worth a damn. In fact, the media depends on that lack of analytical prowess to spin public opinion to sway elections and public support (or opposition) of sitting administrations.
Michael Steele said some very stupid and destructive things this last week, and conservatives have to pay the price for those statements.
Rush has spent a considerable amount of time on that flap this week, trying to put things into perspective and provide the correct analysis.
I think it's important. Rush thinks it's important. So do most other conservatives.
Apparently you have an opinion yourself. Then I assume you know what they say about opinions, don't you?
I don't take seriously the public statements made by the Chairman of the RNC or DNC for that matter. Howard Dean's public outcries,(with or without actual words) are well known. Yet the Democrats pulled a hat trick in the 2008 election anyway because their candidates ran better campaigns even though they did not have better positions on the issues.
The job of the Chairman of a major political party is to work behind the scenes to get things done. The voters pay attention to the public statements made by office seekers.
I would be more concerned with a public statement or news made by a potential candidate for the office of the POTUS in 2112 such as Governor PALIN, Governor JINDAL, Senator DEMINT, etc.
With regard to Rush Limbaugh, I have this to say. I respect Rush and regularly listen to his radio program. I agree with most of his positions and take issue with some of them. He is a voice of conservatism, but he does not own the movement. I don't take things he says out of context. Only the hateful left does that.
As far as Michael Steele goes, I have this to say. He made a mistake in taking the bate of a CNN lefty like Hughley. He made other mistakes in his comments during that interview. These mistakes were unfortunate but they don't disqualify him to be the Chairman of the RNC. He is above the radar precisely because he is the first person of color to hold the GOP Chair and so must be more careful in the future. However he can't hurt the cause of conservatism without help from the wrong candidate chosen to be the GOP Nominee for the POTUS.
Let's hold on with some optimism for the future and seize opportunities provided to us by mistakes made by liberal Democrats.
Agreed that we should do that. Obama and the Socialists have already made plenty of mistakes for us to seize upon in their first 45 days in power.
It's time that national figures in the Republican party started pounding them over the head with their suicidal legislation.
I would start instead with this New Administration's decision to trade away the future implementation of a missile defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic in exchange for Russia's help in talking the Iranians out of doing what everyone knows they are about to do anyway; deploy a nuclear arsenal.
The Republican (and like minded Democratic) Senators and U.S Representative should be pounding the new President on this move especially when it was done without prior consultation with our NATO Allies.
:) He is on for a bad time for me.

We were given the choice between a old, RINO that LIBERALS loved paired with an attractive, successful Governor that REAL REPUBLICANS loved, but who few believed was capable of handling the position. (I still don't like that they didn't realize she was well more capable than BO!)
