Gibbs Does It Again -- Responds Directly to Media Criticism of Obama, This Time CNBC's Cramer
NewsBusters ^ | March 3, 2009 | Jeff Poor

Here we go again - another Obama administration/media personality feud in the works.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has no problem addressing media critics of President Barack Obama - even on an individual basis. Since Obama was sworn in as president, Gibbs has addressed criticism from conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, CNBC mercantile exchange floor reporter Rick Santelli and now CNBC "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer.

During the March 3 White House press briefing, Tom Costello of NBC News asked Gibbs to respond to remarks from Cramer, who was described as "not a conservative," made on NBC's March 3 "Today" show that he "thought the president's policies, his agenda had contributed to the greatest wealth destruction he's ever seen by a president."

The MSM persuaded the O Man that he owns the media; don’t be surprised if he acts like it.

When will a reporter have the stones to ask Gibbs why he deliberately misquoted Limbaugh?

So NBC reporter Costello is throwing Gibbs softballs? Why am I not surprised? Does Costello work for the White House?

This is not a good sign. It demonstrates that Obama is WAY too immature to be POTUS. Throughout the History of the world heads of state ignore the media and hire people to spin the news in the right direction. They do not stoop to engage the media because they can't win. The old adage: "Never pick a fight with anyone who buys ink by the barrel" is still good advice.

Here, Obama is REACTING to media. No wonder Putin thinks hes a buffoon! He is!

This ought to be a daily occurance - criticism of Clueless Leader, that is. Then we can have a Whine of the Day from Gibbs, which’ll do more to discredit Clueless Leader than anything else.

Really, asswipe, if you can’t take the criticism, resign. Don’t send some mealy-mouthed, mindless dweeb to whine for you to the whole world. BE A MAN, RESIGN!

If the media asks tough questions, they won’t be invited back. In fact, they will be banned from attending. The media is making Gibbs look like a doofus. He doesn’t know how to answer half their questions.

I;ve often though that Obama put Gibbs in that position because he is such a buffoon that nobody takes seriously. Just another one of the magic tricks with one hand while the government is stealing with their other hand.

Cramer is the type of Democrat I hope re-emerges. He is a Democrat but not a socialist. There is a difference. If you took people like JFK and dropped them into today, they would be appalled. What happens is that as the older Dems age, they get “pulled along” so to speak and wind up way left.

The pressure point is completely being missed by the GOP, the media and a lot of conservatives. The pressure point is NOT the RINOs, it is the Blue Dog Dems. The Dems partly took back the house by running “more conservative” dems in Red States. There is a lot of hay to be made by running ads against the bailout, giveaways and runaway debt/spending, targeted to those districts. It will take awhile, but eventually people who are in the middle are going to ask “why isn’t it getting better?”. And then the Dems can be labeled as pouring money down a hole.

Gibbs continued. "There were other people that were elected to try to fix the problem and try to reinstitute an economy that works for everyone."

He must not be talking about Obama, because Obama's economic policies and plans sure aren't working for me.

You know, “Waaaahhhh...the pwess is being mean to us!” is going to start getting really old, sooner rather than later. Especially among the pwess. Uh, I mean the press.

The President is either...

a. An incompetent doofus or...

b. Determined to preside over an economic collapse of historic proportions, in service of his radical socialist agenda.

Given his biography, both options are eminently plausible.

There are no other realistic interpretations, are there?
