We can win that seat. We will send in thousands of people to register voters, take people to the polls, and even vote themselves. We will set up a network of activists to intimidate voters who might vote for the opposing party.
Oh, I'm sorry, we don't have an ACORN on our side... I guess the Dems win again...

The way Rahm and Obama are fiddle-f***** our nation’s wealth and security away, she may have a chance.

I understand your sarcasm, but this brings up the salient point....why DON’T we “send in thousands of people to register voters, take people to the polls, and even vote themselves”? Is there some unwritten rule that says that only Democrats can GOTV? Sure, we’re constrained by doing things legally, but all the same....

Congratulations Chicagolady!!!

One tough FReeper lady.
As the WashIndie post says, Obama won the district 73% to 26%. She faces impossible odds.

Groovy, but what is the likelihood of ANY Republican winning the general? This is Rahm Emanuel's old seat. And before him Blagojevich and Rostenkowski. In the last 107 years it has had a Republican congressman for 4 of them. What do you think?
To: Titus Quinctius Cincinnatus
I agree. Give them a taste of their own medicine. Unfortunately, they would have ourr side tied up in court for years and the election ruled null and void.

Many of the district’s voters think that their last two congressmen, Rahm Emanuel and Rod Blagojevich, were corrupt and liberal. To show that they support a big change, more voters will choose the only conservative, in the race, Rosanna. Obama said that we should vote for change.

Following that line then Joseph Cao shouldn’t have even tried in the Louisiana 2nd CD. Since the end of the Civil War the LA-2 district has had Republicans for only 9 years.
But yet Cao won anyway.

I think we need to contest every single seat. And in cases like this, we need candidates who will say inflammatory (but correct) things to shake things up. She needs to tag her opponent as a member of the party that supports abortion, homosexual marriage, illegal immigration, socialized medicine, and out of control taxing and spending. See how that plays. If she harps on those issues, she'll get a sizable part of the minority vote. To date, the GOP has been too scared to go there.
It's time.
