And from Gizmodo:

The F-22 Raptor May Be Replaced By...Sniper Blimps?

*****************************EXCERPT*************************

Originally designed to fight the Soviets in WWIII, the F-22 Raptor has never seen combat. And now, Barack Obama needs to decide whether to keep building them or kill the plane forever.

Lots of Jobs on the line....

The Soviet Union was long dead when the Raptor was developed. It’s hardly a Cold War weapon system.

Russia and China are still threats. Therefore, the F-22 is a necessary project, and should be procured at the original numbers (1100 aircraft).

Think of the extra jobs that these would generate...

It should be called the F-22 Dead Albatross. It is a political football and is goosed up for a war we'll never fight. It costs too much and the money is better spent elsewhere (in our military).

No current Air Force pilot I know believes they'll be humans in a cockpit in the near future. Wrong direction and too much lucre.
