Fortunately, we have Keith Olbermann to point out that Rush Limbaugh did not accurately quote the preamble to the Constitution in his CPAC speech last weekend. I'm not sure what scam Olbermann imagined Rush was trying to put over on the American people by saying conservatives believed in the "preamble to the Constitution" and then quoting words from the Declaration of Independence -- but Olbermann put an end to that cruel deception!
These small-time opportunities to show off by correcting someone else's teeny-tiny mistakes are the lifeblood of Olbermann's MSNBC show, "Countdown." Olbermann is no more capable of not correcting Rep. Charlie Rangel when he said "inferred," but meant "implied," than an obsessive compulsive could pass a sink without washing his hands.
There is utterly no purpose to these lame "gotchas," except that Olbermann is so desperately insecure that he is willing to waste valuable airtime in order to convince other status-conscious idiots that he is, like, scary-smart.
Olbermann relentlessly attacked low-level Bush administration employee Monica Goodling for not going to a name-dropping college, saying -- approximately 1 million times -- that she got her law degree "by sending 100 box tops to Religious Lunatic University."
I would venture to say that the students at Goodling's law school at Regent University are far more impressive than those at the Cornell agriculture school -- the land-grant, non-Ivy League school Keith attended.
I wouldn't mention it, except that Olbermann savages anyone who didn't go to an impressive college. As it happens, he didn't go to an impressive college, either.
If you've ever watched any three nights of his show, you know that Olbermann went to Cornell. But he always forgets to mention that he went to the school that offers classes in milking and bovine management.
Indeed, Keith is constantly lying about his nonexistent "Ivy League" education, boasting to Playboy magazine, for example: "My Ivy League education taught me how to cut corners, skim books and take an idea and write 15 pages on it, and also how to work all day at the Cornell radio station and never actually go to class."
Except Keith didn't go to the Ivy League Cornell; he went to the Old MacDonald Cornell.
The real Cornell, the School of Arts and Sciences (average SAT: 1,325; acceptance rate: 1 in 6 applicants), is the only Ivy League school at Cornell and the only one that grants a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Keith went to an affiliated state college at Cornell, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (average SAT: about that of pulling guards at the University of South Carolina; acceptance rate: 1 of every 1.01 applicants).
Olbermann's incessant lying about having an "Ivy League education" when he went to the non-Ivy League ag school at Cornell would be like a graduate of the Yale locksmithing school boasting about being a "Yale man." (continued).....

Kieth the Cornell Bovine Queen!
That said, the only thing worse than an Ivy Leaguer is a pretend Ivy Leaguer.
“These small-time opportunities to show off by correcting someone else’s teeny-tiny mistakes “
Teeny-tiny mistake? Come on Ann, if a liberal had done this you’d be all over him.
Ann is so far off-base on this one, I cringe.
Olbermann is a jerk, and who knows what he classes he took when he attended, but comparing the Ag School to just any old state school is ridiculous. State schools vary in quality and exclusivity, and Ann Coulter is displaying ignorance here. :-(
This is especially painful because Miss Coulter was who got me into conservative activism and journalism...at Cornell.
Occasionally I just have to sit back and think about who his audience can possibly be (He must have one because even though NBC is addled, it IS a business dependent upon viewers). Whoever they are the fact that they exist in sufficient numbers to maintain his presence is frightening.
Ouch!! That’s goin to leave a mark!
oh, i like your name. did you go to uga ag school?
Ivy league schools now are just Brand Names... little more. You actually learn more at the small schools than you do at the Ivy Leagues, where classes are PC courses to put down whites, christianity, and conservatism.
Usually I am not a fan of repeated posts on here, but you should post this every day for eternity.

Geez, can we just enjoy the fact that she just dressed down that idiot at MSNBC.
LOL, Keiths claims are like a mailman claiming he was “in the service” because he’s in the US Postal SERVICE.
I am a proud graduate of the New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I **LOVE** telling people that’s where I went. I live and work in Manhattan, in a social environment where the word agriculture literally never shows up. It’s always good for a startled laugh from folks at parties. The average Ag school grad is smarter and tougher than any Harvard ‘tard I’ve run into.
She’s wrong that the College of Arts and Sciences is the only Ivy League college at Cornell. There is also the College of Engineering. Remember all those geeks that actually had homework to do, Ann?
In the future, please remember the Activism sidebar is normally reserved for News/Activism of the FR chapters.
It would be so nice if someone in the MSM called him out on this deceit. Imagine if Rush made such a false claim? The Today Show and Letterman would be all over it.
Another display of AC’s ONE undesireable tendency:
Her Ivy League snobbery.
Hey Ann, there are tons of us out here, every bit as smart and capable (often moreso), as those that went to “elite” schools.
There are myriad reasons why one does not go to an Ivy League school, and the vast majority of those reasons have NOTHING to do with intelligence or ability.
Otherwise, as usual I loved the column, and remain a staunch Ann Coulter advocate and defender.
Actually The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is part of cornell. Cornell was founded as a land grant university. If anything the argriculture part of it is more ivy league (can you say that LOL) than the rest of it.
“Occasionally I just have to sit back and think about who his audience can possibly be”
He’s a hero over at Democratic Underground. Some of the folks over there hang on his every word.
Back when broadcast journalism was taken seriously, Olbermann wouldn’t have been allowed within 100 feet of a microphone.
Proud graduate of Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences here. While Ann may mock the Ag School, my diploma says Cornell University at the top just like hers, and mine came at about one-third the cost of hers. How’s that for value?
Just a few comments on items from the column.
>>>The real Cornell, the School of Arts and Sciences is the only Ivy League school at Cornell and the only one that grants a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Nice of her to throw the folks in the Colleges of Engineering, Architecture, Art, and Planning, Hotel Administration, Human Ecology, Industrial and Labor Relations under the bus as well.
>>>Among the graduates of the Ivy League Cornell are Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Thomas Pynchon, Paul Wolfowitz, E.B. White, Sanford I. Weill, Floyd Abrams, Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Ginsburg, Janet Reno, Henry Heimlich and Harold Bloom.
Does she really want to stake her claim on Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Janet Reno? At least she didn’t claim Sandy Berger, Arts and Sciences ‘67.
>>>Except Keith didn’t go to the Ivy League Cornell; he went to the Old MacDonald Cornell.
I’ll take the research coming out of the Ag School that is feeding and healing millions of people around the world over that which comes out of the Philosphy and History departments.
I’m not getting this. So if you graduated from Cornell AG school it is not an ivy league degree?
Weird.

"As it happens, he didn't go to an impressive college, either."
The "impressive" ones that Clinton, Gore, John Kerry, and Ted Kennedy attended are not that impressive. Neither are many of the graduates.
It is Ivy League....not that that means anything. She doesn’t make a lot of sense in the column
You can say that again. From where I sit, the large majority of differentiation lies in the never ending networking and the greed/self entitlement that is developed at the premier schools. It is not an accident that the problems we are now faced with originate with a lot of these ‘Best and brightest’ frauds.
I've worked with many of them and actually have fired a couple in my tenure in international consulting with a 'Prestigious' Firm so I have first hand experience with the genre.
One of us has a reading comprehension problem and since you are a Cornell man I suppose it is me. Here is what she said about the Corell Ag School:
If you actually want to pursue a career related to agriculture, there is no better school than the Cornell ag school. I have nothing but admiration for the farmers and aspiring veterinarians at the ag school. They didn't go there just to have "Cornell" on their resumes.
How is that displaying ignorance?
She mentioned the SAT scores and acceptance levels in each school to illustrate the point she was making - that Olbermann was misrepresenting himself as an "Ivy Leaguer" while denigrating those who aren't.
>>>She mentioned the SAT scores and acceptance levels in each school to illustrate the point she was making - that Olbermann was misrepresenting himself as an “Ivy Leaguer” while denigrating those who aren’t.
Well, she misrepresented the acceptance levels.
The real Cornell, the School of Arts and Sciences (average
SAT: 1,325; acceptance rate: 1 in 6 applicants)
the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (acceptance rate: 1 of every 1.01 applicants).
Undergraduate Acceptance Rates Per College, Fall 2008
Agriculture & Life Sciences 21.9%
Architecture, Art & Planning 15.5%
Arts & Sciences 18.4%
Engineering 29.1%
Hotel Administration 22.4%
Human Ecology 32.1%
Industrial & Labor Relations 25.2%
Was that the acceptance rate when he was accepted?
Who knew? Keith Olbermann- Dirt Farmer.
That says nothing about the overall acceptance rate into the college and does not take into account undeclared majors.
I know a guy who went to an Ag school. He’s the head gounds keeper at an upscale golf course and lives in a million dollar house.
Mutt the stupid....
Olberman deserves all the riddicule we can Heap on him
Coulter is more Right than wrong
you are a simpering shill for the moderates...thats like an Ugly,Drunk, Hooker....
Mutt the Ego...
Cornell Universitys College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
thats Lipstick on a Pig.
>>>Was that the acceptance rate when he was accepted?
Closest I can get on acceptance rates is 1980.
College of Agiculture and Life Sciences 32.2%
College of Arts and Sciences 32.1%
E-I-E-I-OLBERMANN IS A DIRT BAG, BUT TELL ME SOMETHING I DIDN’T KNOW.
OMG, what a universally glory smack-down. You would have to paid by Vince McMahon himself in order to issue a smackdown more massive than this one.
Olbermann is a giant tool. He got fired repeated for being a giant, arrogant A$$hole. Finally, he found a network and a format where that was an asset (even if it meants being third out of three in the ratings).
With that being said, can I get a shout out from all those Alpha Gamma Rho brothers out there??? (I didn’t pledge but I was invited... and they certainly were Ivy league tools where I came from).
He might not know what the oppositional defiant grammar/spelling/word fetishist version of obsessive compulsive disorder is or that speed-demon Tourette's (or too much cappuccino) makes that worse.
Which may explain the "I know what you are, but what am I?" games on the Countdown.
They need to stop drinking on top of Dexedrine at BSNBC.
I made it a point to watch “Countdown” w/ Keith Olberman tonight to see if he would respond to this..and sure enough he did...and stated exactly what you just did..and showed his diploma on air...also mentioning that he attained that degree in 7 semesters ..paying a fraction of what Ann probably did ..and all the while attending classes at the College of Arts & Sciences that Ann touts so highly....
I was surprised at Ann’s elitest attitude...I actually enjoy her commentary but she really stooped pretty low this time..
I’ll score this one as a K.O. for the Olb.
Perhaps she’ll do better when she takes on Bill Maher....
P.S. My Grandfather was a Forestry Grad from Cornell...
” Just enjoy the fact that she just dressed down that idiot at MSNBC “ ?
Not if she skews facts..and it doesn’t stick.
She swung .....and missed.
???
I went to Mississippi State Engineering school.
I think you are correct about her point
SS-Olbermann is so busted! Olbie was waving his diploma around tonight claiming the ag school he attended is “the same school” as Cornell University. I hope somebody brings this up every time olbie opens his yap.
