How embarrassing. As much as WE all knew they’d be an embarrassment, it still makes me wince.
It would be interesting to track gifts given to various people in the vein of who he values and who he doesn’t, and/or to see if this is a constant. I remember all Obama gave Joe Biden for his birthday was cupcakes and some other trinket you could find at a 7-11.
Does he always give tacky thoughtless gifts, or are some higher mammals given “good” gifts?

I have a SIL who works for a newspaper. My BIL has been a GM executive for 25 years. These people are dripping with money, yet my kids have gotten recycled and thoughtless obligation gifts from them.
They are just self-centered to the max.
You’ve got to love a country where the newspaper can use “solipsistic” and someone might actually know what it means.
