DANBURY -- An 18-year-old city resident is in a Massachusetts jail after state police said they found an arsenal in his truck.

That is NOT an arsenal, a personal collection maybe, but not an arsenal. Ah, Massachusetts . . .
Dude. Move to Texas. You belong here.
An “Aesenal” -—— BaaHaaHaa!
Thats not an arsenal, thats just a decent start.
Since when is a shotgun and a bolt-action rifle all it takes to have an “arsenal?”
Pisses me off bad that what is perfectly legal and common every day use in state A can get ya prison time in state B in these so called United States of America !
This is a possible test case for the Second Amendment.”
How so? “Assault Weapons” are illegal in his home state, and he was caught in a state where you must have a permit to own one.
I think both states outlaw normal size magazines.
The case would be somewhat poisoned by the brass nucks and Level 3 armor, as well.
My wife is from Virginia, gotta keep mama happy!
Agreed. This is BS. The only thing questionable is a flak jacket but they are legal. Hi caps in MA??
I hope the NRA helps him. Bushmaster should because it is a neighboring state 7 he was heading to maine (their HQ) and I bet they are making money hand over fist right now.
He should have driven around Massachusetts, though admittedly New York isn’t much better.
Welcome to Texas, son! Drive safe now, y’hear? :-)
And to think the Massachusetts is where the Revolution started. How far they have fallen.
Must be one of them Afghanistan style weddings.
I bet that is for the brass knuckles, if it is then the media should have mentioned that.
Not a bolt-action, a Bushmaster AR-15 type. Illegal in his home state (no new assault weapons after a certain date) and also in MA without a permit (though he was just passing through). In MA he’s to young to posess a high-capacity firearm.
The Bushmaster had a pistol grip! We are dooomed! And a night scope! That probably frightened the cops. $100,000 bail?
It’s not an arsenal, but the reporter is from a state where hoplophobia and ignorance are required if you are to be a journalist.
# A Bushmaster rifle with a night
scope and pistol grip.
# Two high capacity ammunition magazines.
# A Remington 12-gauge shotgun with additional ammo.
# Five knives
# Brass knuckles
# A bulletproof vest with an armor plate.
Scary!!!
>> My wife is from Virginia, gotta keep mama happy!
I was suggesting “Mr. Arsenal” move here.
But you and the missus are welcome too! Tell her we don’t have nuthin’ against virgins. :-)
Well, seein’ as he had a shotgun, I’m thinking a shotgun weddin’ LOL.
Just how whipped are the people in Massachusetts anyway? Getting hysterical over a rifle, a shotgun, and some knives. Big deal. Ooohhh he had body armor didn’t he? He’s is definitely toast in Massachusetts.
I’m sorry. No harm no foul.
Beat me with the “pistol grip” observation by 1 second...I hope you’re happy!
From the article: He could also face federal charges because he allegedly transported the weapons across state lines.
?? What’s that about?
If that’s an arsenal, what I have in my pickup at all times must be weapons of mass destruction.
A search of the truck revealed:
A Bushmaster rifle with a night (Massachusetts State Police)scope and pistol grip.
Two high capacity ammunition magazines.
A Remington 12-gauge shotgun with additional ammo.
Five knives
Brass knuckles
A bulletproof vest with an armor plate.
Imagine if the night scope were mounted ON the pistol grip! It would be deadlier than an SUV running on premium gas!
Whew, glad they didn’t stop me today on the way to the range. I would have been infamous. Living here is tough. Unless those hi-cap mags are pre-ban the poor boy will see jail time. Welcome to Massholechusetts. You need to make your shots count up here in libtard land.
He should file a lawsuit in Federal court saying that MA violated his civil rights (AKA the Second Amendment) and the right of transit in the Commerce Clause.
They’ll throw the book at this kid, but I bet there are plenty of gangbangers in Mass who are yukking it up right now.
Jeez...if that’s an arsenal, then I’ve got a whole armory!
The socialists march on!
Tickled pink!
Barney Frank and Ted Kennedy. I think that says enough.
Found a soccer team in his truck? How big a truck was it? ;-)
He started in Connecticut, where he could not legally own much of that stuff, and went across state lines to a state where he couldn’t own any of it.
Do you get Sportsman’s Guide or Cheaper than Dirt?
Look for the little truck with the numbers. If it has a “one” it means that the knife, ammo, holster, stock, or whatever
“cannot be shipped to the mentally insane, criminals, those under 18, those under indictment, felons, goofballs, or people from Massachusetts”.
I made up teh goofball part.
Excuse me (vigorously waiving hand in the air), why was the kid contacted by the LEO..... before his life was ruined?
Sounds like Taxachusetts doesn’t take kindly to outsiders trespassing in their state. I’ll be sure never to visit the place.
wedding my arse, I bet he was going to a remove Obama training excercise
yes it does, too much in fact.
In Massachusetts? Say it ain’t so,
Small town late at night, and a cop sitting watching an intersection for two hours.
Here comes a nine year old pickup with a kid driving it.
“License and registration, please..did you know you have an intermittent tail light? Hey, what’s in that case in the back? Step out of the car...”
I’ve had similar things happen, once the cop got all warm and goosey about earmuffs in the back seat. He just KNEW I had guns and was going to shake me down until he found them.

...somebody want to tell me how he fit it into his truck?
A rifle, shotgun and some knives and accessories makes an arsenal now?
Looks like the AR might be a post-ban version which is legal in CT. Also the mags could be pre-bans, also legal. Even the evil 50 cal round is just a key chain. Course the reporter would never think to point that out. Best part is the catch all “appeared evasive” and gun case reason to detain the kid, search him and the vehicle.
I wonder why they didn’t find his 50 cal?...fool now the enemy has even more against us...
:)
Which means if he could legally own it in CT and in ME, the cops in MA can go pound sand. Try reading the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986.
Whadda bunch of crap....come on down to Louisiana, we’ll show ya what a real arsenal looks like. Mass. sucks. I lived/worked there in 1974 when they first passed that crap of a law of the automatic one year in jail etc. if you were caught with an unregistered firearm. I was originally from Maine. I had a 30-06 bolt-action rifle, a Colt Combat Commander .45 and a Ruger .22 Mark 1. I tried to get a temporary permit just to move em out of the state and back to Maine. Needless to say, they wouldn’t do it and wanted them “turned in”. In the dead of night, I hid everything in my car inside the garage where I was staying. The next morning, I loaded the .45 “cocked & locked”, placed it right beside me in the car and headed to Maine. I had absolutely NO intention of doing any automatic one year in jail term in some Masshole jailhouse....I had made my mind up that would shoot it out first. Fortunately, I made it to the NH border without incident. That was many years ago and I’ve since moved to Louisiana where I’ve remained quite “law-abiding” thank you. When you pass those kinds of laws, you make good people into criminals.
