From the sounds of things, they were cowardly enough to not rescue this one man who was sitting right next to them but not fearful enough to keep a psychopath away from the general public. What is the meaning of “insane” when everybody is insane?
It was a weird story. Thread after thread here began following it last summer as soon as it broke. I remember a video interview of the passengers. They were caught by surprise. A guy sitting nearby claimed he didn’t even realize what was happening at first and that he either made an attempt to stop the killer, or considered it, but by then the victim was gone, I think. So, people started running out of the bus. Then he and a few other passengers blocked the door so the killer couldn’t leave the bus.
