Golly, MSNBC has been calling this one of Rove’s “war crimes”.

Now don’t be hard on yourself. You, like me, probably thought that “D” meant douchebag or d*^khead.

This should send the KOS’rs in to ORBIT!

I wonder if the CBS Evening News will bother to cover it, and if they do, will they dare to say the word-DEMOCRAT?

On May 27, 2004, Siegelman was served an indictment on federal charges, but the day after his trial began, prosecutors abruptly dropped all charges. The judge threw out much of the prosecution's evidence and stated that that no new charges could be refiled based on the disallowed evidence.

On June 29, 2006, a federal jury found both Siegelman and Scrushy guilty on seven of the 33 counts in the indictment. Siegelman was convicted on "one count of bribery, one count of conspiracy to commit honest services mail fraud, four counts of honest services mail fraud and one count of obstruction of justice"

Siegelman is currently working to see Karl Rove held in contempt for refusing to testify before a House committee that is investigating his conviction.

the MAy 27 trial was not the same case. That case was in B'hm, and the Judge was a total disgrace (now off the bench, Thank God!!).

Also, Rove has agreed to testify before the House Circuis Committee. Looks like there won't be much to talk about now, excepy Dandy Don's lovely new orange jumpsuit!

Who was the judge in this case? Surely it was not Thompkins. I would be shocked if so. This is not over. With a dem judge/governor/president/$$ money man both Don and his cohort are sure to be pardoned.

Yeah, WSFA does that if it’s a democrat.

Now if it were a republican, they’d mention party affiliation at least 50 times in a 2 minute segment.

Every MSM does that ... someone with integrity gets the microscope - if a Democrat, a pass every time ... the MSM will be going the way of newspapers .... hopefully the Seattle PostIntelligencer will be extinct by this time next month ....

It’s actually researchable that the media never puts the “D” when a Democrat politician is in trouble. Yet they go head over heels when it’s a Republican.

I go over to DU quite a bit (hey, somebody's got to scout the enemy camp). Siegelman's innocence was a very frequent theme over there. It took me a while to find the posting that his convictions were mostly upheld, but the conspiracy nuts (as opposed to the regular crew of nuts) were out in force - the judges are all Republicans, Scrushy did the same thing, forty five state Attorneys General said what he did wasn't a crime (as if I would believe forty five of the most ambitious politicians in America, which is what state AG's generally are), etc.

So, to the jackasses, his being proven guilty twice in a court of law proves nothing.
