Why some conservatives are backing Obama (flashback)
San Fransicso Gate ^ | 07/07/2008 | Carolyn Lochhead

"I do know libertarians who think Obama is the Antichrist, that he's farther left than John Kerry, much farther left than Bill Clinton, and you'd clearly have to be insane to vote for this guy," said David Boaz, executive vice president of the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank. "But there are libertarians who say, 'Oh yeah? Do you think Obama will increase spending by $1 trillion, because that's what Republicans did over the past two presidential terms. So really, how much worse can he be?' And there are certainly libertarians who think Obama will be better on the war and on foreign policy, on executive power and on surveillance than McCain."

I thought it would be a good time to take a look back at almost a year ago. I wonder what these.....people.....think of Obama now......

Guys? Any second thoughts? Ready to admit that you were hoodwinked by a smooth-talking Chicago thug?

These people are idiots and traitors, we need to keep names and hold them accountable. Do not listen to them in the future, don’t buy their books or read their articles. Especially any scum calling themselves “pro-life” while endorsing a monstrously pro-infanticide butcher like Obama.

The people in this article cited as to their reasons for voting for Obama come across as bitter persons. They voted for and reasoned for Obama resulting from their own personal bitterness. The personal became political.

"So really, how much worse can he be?"

Anybody that hasn't seen the answer to that question already is certifiably brain-dead!

Um, let’s not forget the people here on FR and even certain radio and print true conservatives who stupidly argued that Obama would be as bad as McCain and that we needed another Carter so we could get another Reagan.

Wow. Just amazing. I would love to hear what these foolish snobs have to say today.

While he isn't one of these particular foolish snobs, my brother in law (who's been living well off my sister's paycheck and his own investments) has turned leftward over the last couple of years. He still reads the New York Times, he believes in the myth of global warming (belongs to the Sierra Club), and he thinks that "the era of small government" is over. He thinks that government spending is going to pull us out of the recession.

3 weeks ago, over a few scotches, he admitted that he was a liberal. Needless to say, he's off my list of people that I want to visit. Fortunately, my other brother-in-law is much more sane on such issues.

Douglas Kmiec is former chief of the Office of Legal Counsel in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations, and now a constitutional law professor at Pepperdine University and a devout Catholic. Kmiec endorsed Obama earlier this year, despite his conviction that Obama "believes in a pretty progressive agenda."

"With friends like these..."

Don't blame the moon-bat faction of the libertarian's for McIdiots loss. The only reason John got my vote was Palin.

They heard what they wanted to hear. They bizarrely imagined that Obama would be like Clinton (forgetting that had it not been for the 94 elections spurring the redesign of his whole administration, Clinton would have been another Carter).

I just hope they feel really, really stupid. I hope they realize they have the blood of the unborn on their hands. I can’t imagine campaigning on behalf of a politician who would ease restrictions on infanticide, and still having the nerve to call myself pro-life.

A True Conservative would have “NEVER” backed, much less, voted for Barack. His ChiCAgo style politics, his books, his background all pointed to his SOCIALISTIC views. The Conservatives I know, been acquainted with, and believe in their Ideologies knew this about B.O.

Oh, and this not include the question - WHO IS BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA? WHO IS THIS MAN? Everything has been locked down and no access is allowed to anything about this so-called community leader - SO, who is BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA?

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

Need a few changes...

1. “Qualified Elector” should be any US Citizen, over the age of 18 who is NOT on the public dole at any level, with the exception of Social Security and Medicaire.

2. Term Limits on ALL elected Federal offices; three terms for Representatives and ONE term for Senators. No cushy benefits, no imperial congress, no retirement plan.

3. Line Item veto for the POTUS

4. Rule Change in the Congress to restrict each bill to a SINGLE issue; no more piling on amendments with no bearing just to get support. Each bill should stand on its own merits.

5. ALL bills that involve the expenditure of funds should require 60% votes in both the House and Senate.

6. Election of Senators should be returned to the various State Legislatures. Reps should be the voice of the PEOPLE, and Senators should be the voice of the STATE, just as was originally planned.

Excellent suggestions...perhaps they should be printed up as fliers for distribution at all these tax rallies currently gaining popularity across the nation.

Exit polls say 26 percent of American voters called themselves evangelical or born-again Christians, and of these, 74 percent voted for McCain, with 25 percent voting for Obama.

http://blog.christianitytoday.com/ctpolitics/2008/11/the_evangelical.html

That's nearly 8,000,000 Obama votes.

Why the exception for Soshcurity and Medicare? Getting the beneficiaries of those two Ponzi schemes off the voters’ rolls would be of enormous benefit to society.

Electors should be: a male, married to and living with the woman who is the mother of all his children.
