I’m glad, and a bit surprised, that this is being pursued. Since the victim was a Republican, I fully expected the case to be dropped or dismissed on some technical grounds.

At what point does “unlawful electronic transmission of material” overlap with a crime like “wiretapping” (he accessed her wire through fraud).

The case has been pushed back from May to October. A year after the election when DNC activists went all out to take down Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber.

My take on the latest is that he and his lawyers have not been as cooperative as they promised in the beginning and the Fed’s have lost patience with them. Hence the added charges.
Thought in the beginning they wanted to wait until the public furor died down to try the case. Now it is again put off.
His father was an Obozo supporter, and that will probably give him a get-out-of-jail card.

Last week, a person using the e-mail address rubico10aty**** posted a message to an online forum about how he used Yahoo Mail’s password-recovery tool to obtain Palin’s password by entering Palin’s birth date, ZIP code and where Palin met her husband.
Rubico; ‘I read through the emails … ALL OF THEM … before I posted, and what I concluded was anticlimactic, there was nothing there, nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped, all I saw was personal stuff, some clerical stuff from when she was governor. … And pictures of her family.’
“After changing the e-mail password to ‘popcorn,’ the hacker then posted the username and password to 4chan, allowing others to access Palin’s e-mail.”
