2009 - This crap gets passed

2012 - 50% of small farms forced to sell to large corporations

2015 - 80% of small farms wiped out

2016 - High prices create an economic ‘food bubble’

2019 - Food bubble pops, Big Food companies declared ‘insolvent’ and ‘too big to spoil’, then ‘rescued’ by the federal government before they can file for bankruptcy.

2020 - $20 gallon of spoiled milk

2021 - Obama’s 4th inauguration

(I kid with the last one, of course)

(I hope)

If Obama gets elected for a 2nd term (God forbid!), I figure that's the time he and his Dem backers will start babbling about changing the Amendment about term limits for Presidents. They'll start pushing for that the day after his 2nd inauguration. That way they'll have 4 years to change the Constitution in their favor.

He couldn't be that stupid to suggest that now.

If things don’t change it will be:

2010-50%-80% of small farms forced to sell to large corporations.

2012-90-95% of small farms wiped out

We have a very reasonable price in mind for our farms and would entertain any offer. Problem is, no-one is buying. The Mormon church was for a while but they shut down all their operations in our county and are leasing their farms.

There were 2 corporate farming concerns in our county a few years ago, the farms that they bought have lain fallow since they left because even though they are offering them at a very cheap price they ruined them by growing vegetable crops without rotating with grain crops.

The one corporate farming concern that moved in last year isn’t buying land, they are just leasing.
