Maddow: You Take Mr. Barack’s Dime, You Support Mr. Barack’s Policies
FinkelBlog ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 03/12/2009 7:28:46 PM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Barack Obama bought and paid for these banks. They better get in line behind his plan to abolish the secret ballot in unionization elections. That’s Rachel Maddow’s position. The MSNBC host is furious that banks taking bail-out funds have the audacity to do what they think is in the best interest of their businesses, instead of supporting the president’s scheme to do away with what most Americans consider a sacred element of democracy: the secret ballot.

Apparently Citi and Bank of America have hosted conference calls in which opposition was expressed to the Obama-backed, Orwellian-named, Employee Free Choice Act, which would permit the abolition of the secret ballot in unionization elections. That infuriated Maddow tonight . . .

Just think about what happened to the automobile manufactures in our country when the union got in. They were bled dry in the process of being saved.

I saw five minutes of her show last night. She is boorish, unintelligent, unattractive, and very full of herself. She is in short a poster-child for the Democratic party.

All the dimes, dearie dreary Maddow, belong to US. We the people. We can damn well take them and be not beholden to any. Let no one forget that.

In war, sometimes you have to not only go behind the lines, you have to infiltrate and work for the enemy.

In this war, many of us will have to take those dimes, as many as possible but ignore and dance around the regulations they are given with. Be as honest as you can, but this is war.

And now you know one of the principal reasons why government money is poisonous: It politicizes whatver it's spent on, and whoever receives it—effectively converting them into vassals of the state and its current political leadership.

Socialism is just the modern form of feudalism. Bow to your liege lord!

Just what is the connection between the two issues? Why would the banks have anything to do with the secret ballots for union workers?

Apparently the sane, rational minds at MSNBC forgot to tell this Maddow genius that Obama doesn't have billions to give away for political bribes. That's taxpayer money, and it's supposed to be used to stabilize the banking system. Obama and Maddow can use their own money for Chicago-style graft.

Remember the good old days when Freepers drove the evil Dan Rather from his throne? Time to get back to work...

These fools are destroying America because our citizens are public school "educated" morons. They can't help themselves. We can. We must protect the ignorant from social brainwashing. If not us, then who?

Also, if "news" isn't fair and balanced, its a political contribution and corporate political contributions are illegal under Federal election law (not that anything that helps Democrats is illegal now a days).

Hilariously, her ratings are higher than Olbermann’s. (Although neither of them have 1/3 of O’Reilly’s audience) I find Madcow even smarmier than Olbermann, although he definitely wins the arrogance event.

She may call herself a lesbian, but she is figuratively sucking Obama’s d*** on every show. Probably would love to give it a try in reality.

She rns her show and lives a place called Never Never Land, the place where teenage boys and female wannabees who never want to grow up live, write, and God knows what else. The latest cultural outpost of the “Peter Pan” Syndrome.

This odious Rachel creature spews nothing but trash as she vilifies, night after night, George W Bush, his administration, policies, WOT, and on on on. She is living in a NeverLand where the most important topic is Bush.

Literally talking out of the side of her sideways slanted mouth, she aims to appear brilliant and wonkish, She uses the same annoying inflextion, expressions and tones in every statement.

While this might be cute on a teenage boy, or just plain obnoxious, she continues on.

There is an equally, if not more sycophantic profile by someone called Rebecca Traister, a trash columnist for Salon.com.

Does Maddow believe she/the state owns the means of production (classic definition of socialist) or does she just fancy herself a economic fascist?

Yes.

After all, fascism is just one of socialism's many variants (not that they're completely identical.) If you define as socialist any ideology that advocates "socializing the means of production," then fascism is a socialist ideology.

The best description of the US government since the New Deal is fascist, in that the central theme has been authoritarian control of the economy by the Federal government, enabled by a totally dishonest "interpretation" of the Commerce Clause.

The New Deal also certainly imposed a significant amount of socialist/collectivist income redistribution, which was expanded in the following decades—especially by the "Great Society."

Nevertheless, some elements of free-market capitalism were also preserved—but only just enough to fool the gullible. Any substantive claim to free-market capitalism became questionable once an income tax was imposed, and the currency came under the control of a central bank. But the New Deal converted "free-market capitalism" into a museam exhibit that was still allowed some real use, under the watchful control of Federal and State bureacrats.
