As uncharismatic as he is and in spite of the flaws in his personal life, I would have supported him wholeheartedly if he did not equivocate on abortion.

We have to look forward to 2012, and we have a genuine conservative who is likely running - one without the political baggage of Palin (who would be my second choice because of her character) and Jindal (who appears not ready for primetime). Sanford is intellectual, electrifying and has the Reaganesque ability to project an an uplifting message while acknowledging the grave situation we are in. I would recommend seeing him speak, particularly to a conservative audience. The speech he is currently giving to conservative groups is fantastic.
