The former fiance of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter said in an interview that they could reunite but would remain apart as friends for now.
Levi Johnston, 19, told ABC's "Good Morning America" in a segment to air Monday that he and 18-year-old Bristol Palin broke up after a fight "a week, two weeks ago" and had tried to "make things work." The two are the parents of an infant son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, born on Dec. 27.
"But this is what it kind of ended up turning into," Johnson said in an interview from his Alaska home. "But we'll see what happens."
Johnston also said they needed time to grow up before following through on marriage plans.

The baby will be fine, Bristol will be fine (she seems to have a great family to help her out and back her up). I personally think the boy saying he is not mature enough is a cop out (my husband was barely 20 when we got married and not quite 21 when we had our first baby—he stuck around and is still around after 32 years). But, life has a way of working out. My only real concern is that the media will use this against Palin if she runs for President. Otherwise, it’s hardly newsworthy.

This is real life...what we all experience to one degree or another.
We'll see...the young man may turn around, but if he doesn't it will be his loss. The Palins are a good family and they will help with the baby and the young mother, their daughter and sister.
Folks will see that and they will know what it means.
None of this, "I don't want my kids punished with a baby stuff."
Some men may be mature at 20, but most are not. Levi recognizes that he is not. IMO it is best they do not marry now and end up in a nasty divorce in a year or so.
Well obviously he’s not mature enough—he wouldn’t be giving interviews to GMA if he were. Bristol Palin shouldn’t have done her interview with Greta either.

I would feel better if I thought most voters were normal people. I have my doubts.
At least there is a strong family support system for the baby while the kids get their poop in a group, mature wise.
Actually, I think the stats bear out that kids do better if their parents were married and divorced than if they never married. People mature really quickly when they are forced to be responsible. We need to stop letting everyone off the hook just because they say they can’t deal with something. Most of the time they can.

Little did he know, he would be stepping into a crucible of hate, driven by national voices who did not even know him and whom he knew not, but who were determined to destroy him, and his sweetheart, and her family, all for no reason.

In fact, I believe it is already starting to.
There are far too many voters who are hooked on the public largess...the fedderal tit...and they will, sadly, tragically, always vote for those giving them the pork.
But we can educate the others and plenty of them were mesmerized by this rock star thing but are already starting to feel the pinch and the buyer's remorse.
Couple that with the tens of millions who are watching...and we can take the country back.
I pray we will...and I believe Sarah can help us to just that.

I’ve always found if the guy keeps the pants zipped and the girl passes the asprin test (an asprin between her knees and as long as in always touched the knees, she passes !), nothing “bad” is going to happen !! (Nothing good either, but that’s another story !! LOL)
Both of them need to keep their mouths shut and pass on all interviews !!
I needed some time to grow up too when I found out I was a father at age 19. I married my child’s mother and had a tough patch for quite some time. My daughter grew up with her father and not a “friend” who came by to see her from time to time. I worked two jobs and finished college and graduate school. Yea Levi, its tough but maybe you are not man enough to finish what you started.
