Dora by the way is nothing more than latino indocrination to prepare our youth for the incoming latino population boom that will turn them into minorities in their own country when they grow up.

awesome post. Can I steal it?

I’ve noticed that my own childhood TV experiences have made my much more tolerant of sarcastic green homeless guys who live in trash cans, blue choclate chip cookie addicts, blue wierdos who have bi-polar disorder and think their superheros and ambiguously gay couples.

If it takes a cartoon to get an obvious point across to what Dsiney is selling these days then whatever.

Well, see, there's the problem.

To me and others, there IS no "obvious" problem with the cartoon in question.

I watch this show drake and josh or whater on Nik and i can’t believe the innuendo i’m seeing. and alot of it seems geared Homo to me. Whatever, lots of kids watch it i guess. Glad i never had any.

In my experience, those who are obsessed with finding something "hidden" will always find it, one way or another.

I haven't watched that particular show, so I can't say one way or another.

Regardless, I just don't find that Disney, as a whole, rates being labeled "The Devil". If Disney is The Devil, what are ABC/NBC/CBS? The Super Devil? What is MTV? The Double Plus Extra Scary Uber-Devil?

I try to reserve the label "The Devil" for... well... The Devil.

i am happy to say that my kids do not watch the DisneyChannel... not because i think it's evil or the devil, but because it's drivel... twaddle, if you will...

Can't argue with that. It's at least a more sensible objection.

Ahh... I see.

I suppose you'll be extremely concerned that Sesame Street had already begun the insidious conspiracy decades earlier. SS was teaching spanish words from its inception at the end of the 60's. They even had (Horrors!) two Spanish-speaking Mexican people on the show. (Maria and Luis)

I grew up on it.

SLUT!

Just kidding. Man, I can’t believe people have a problem with that. I have a little girl (very little right now) who likes to....gaze in the direction of the TV when Dora’s on, and I wouldn’t have an issue with her seeing that version of Dora.

This is really, really stupid.

Tom & Jerry is one of our favorites. I love the classics and I love how un-PC it is. I heard they are coming out with a Tom & Jerry movie and I’m sure they’ll ruin it.

Eh. Entertainment does not always have to be important, insightful or educational. As long as it isn’t objectionable — sometimes, its just entertainment. For the most part, that’s all that the Disney Channel is ... entertainment for kids.

yes, and i have nothing against entertainment... but we have found much better entertainment than what Disney and Nick Jr. have to offer... most people i know who do watch the Disney Channel do not do it on an "every once in a while basis." their children become attached to the shows and so feel that they must watch it/them daily...
