Obama Gunning for the Second Amendment
Canada Free Press ^ | March 18, 2009 | Selwyn Duke

Posted on 03/18/2009 6:34:45 AM PDT by Scanian

This will seem like a strange way to open a piece of commentary, but the gun owners who voted for Barack Obama believing he respected Second Amendment rights remind me of the bumbling Inspector Clouseau.

Specifically, I think of the scene from “The Return of the Pink Panther” in which Clouseau was getting a real dressing down from his superior, Chief Inspector Dreyfus. The issue was that Clouseau had naively stood by talking to a “blind” organ grinder outside a bank while the institution was being robbed. After Dreyfus pointed out that the organ grinder was the lookout for the thieves and Clouseau said that such a thing was impossible because the beggar was blind, Dreyfus asked how Clouseau knew this. Clouseau replied, “He told me so."

Quite frankly, this wasn’t nearly as stupid as believing that a member of Chicago’s socialist New Party, who was weaned in a black power church, was a gun caesar and not a gun seizer. And now Obama is in fact striking a blow against the Second Amendment. He isn’t doing anything obvious such as advocating a ban on semi-automatic rifles, however (not yet); rather, in typical Saul Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” style, he is attacking where his adversaries least expect.

So what is the latest change you can believe in? Gordon Hutchinson reports at a blog called “The Shootist” that Obama has just disallowed the Department of Defense (DOD) from selling spent brass shell casings to manufacturers of ammunition for the civilian market. This means that these companies will now have to by new brass and produce their own shell casings, a much more expensive — and wasteful — proposition.

...as he has said in the past, HE don't agree with somethings in the constitution, which sort of makes his Oath of office null and void

At least this destroying brass directive seems to have been rescinded per Georgia Arms. You can read about it in this freep post:

One other thing to be concerned about is the department of interior no longer allowing lead bullets on federal lands because it “might” be poisonous. It’s ridiculous. If lead bullets had a negative impact on the environment I think Europe would have found out by now after the Napoleanic wars and two World Wars fought on the contintent. There’s enough spent lead out there to make every bird a lead bird.

It may not do any good, but I am going to contact both Kay Bailey & John Cornyn here in Texas.

We cannot sit idly by while this man takes away our rights.

If there are no honorable Democrats in our govt, that is exactly what he will do.

He has 2 years to wipe out 2 centuries of liberties that our ancestors fought & died for.

Anyone else think they might contact their representatives?

His disagreement with the Constitution goes deep to the core concepts.

He believes that certain elites (himself, of course, included) have the moral and intellectual ability to shape society, have the duty to do so, and require the power to do so. This is why he laments that the Constitution doesn’t contain language about what the gov’t is required to do FOR you.

The founders, on the other side of the dichotomy of visions, knew that ALL men are limited, they are sinners, and are subject to the corruption of power. That’s why they set up a “negative rights” Constitution - what the government is NOT allowed to do TO you.

“0bama will make an anarchist out me yet.”

The hippies have taken over, the revolution was successful. Time to start the counter-revolution and restore traditional American values.

I feel sick. It’s amazing how much damage this guy can do every day. I keep thinking of what Michelle said during the election about how her husband would never let Americans live the way we have for so long... I’m sorry I couldn’t find the exact quote though.

The Revolutionary War began when the government decided to confiscate arms.

Obama is just the messenger. His ability to create a cult following to help finalize the New World Order. Doing away with the second ammendment is just part of the plan.

It’s definitely the line in the sand.

The strategy on their side is to make that line as wide as possible, gradually and slowly crossing it so that we can’t make a “bright line” decision about when to resist.

They also see the quantities of hardware and ammo stacking up on our side.

I'd rather have anarchy than kakistocracy, which is where we are headed.

What I'd most like for America is a return to limited Constitutional government, free enterprise, strong national defense, secure borders, low taxes, thoughtful patriotism, fundamental decency, individual responsibility, personal morality, religious freedom, community volunteerism, stable traditional families, and a common reverence for human life.

What would that take, short of a miracle?

Obama is not the New World Order, he is the One World Order.

New World Order

Washington
Jefferson
Lincoln
Teddy Roosevelt
Churchill
Truman
JFK

One World Order

Napoleon
Lenin
Stalin
Hitler
Mussolini
Mao
Teddy Kennedy
Obama

There is a difference.

The New world Order see men and nations as equals in all human rights

The One World Order see that all men and nations must be under one rule or one ruler.

It is the classic battle between good and evil.

I'm with you 100%. As far as a miracle, I think our existence in the US was predicated on a series of miracles driven by the human desire for freedom. It can happen again.

The only way back to your desired (and intended) mode of existance for the United States of America to split into its various and sovereign states,

then reforming the Union under the intent of the Constitution.

I believe you are correct. But the Lord helps those who help themselves, if you understand what I mean.
