I have never seen the media get so mercenary like they did over Sarah Palin. It was like, “How dare this woman challenge our status quo!”

After a no-name blogger posted some year-old photos of the Palin family, and forwarded the notion that Palin looked a little too good to be pregnant and Palin’s 17-year old daughter, Bristol, had a little “baby fat,” the mainstream media ran with the story.

I remember very clearly that the wretched Alan Colmes was one of the primary proponents of this sleaze.

I do not know who angers me more:

1) the unprovoked and vicious media attacks on Gov Palin before, during and after the election
or
2)the GOP and John Mccain for not defending Gov Palin’s reputation , blaming Gov Palin for Mccain’s defeat and Mccains staff for undermining Gov Palin at every chance they got.

Flame away, but I won’t give a DIME to the GOP but I would pull the lever for Gov Palin in 2012 in a heartbeat!!!

Years from now, journalism classes will look back at this and marvel.

That's part of the problem. 'Journalism' used to be a craft. The education was an apprenticeship and you learned OJT.

Now journalism is an elite profession. Not only that, if you went to Columbia School of Journalism you 'outrank' a colleague that attended a state-related college. Once you reach the rarified air of the national News media you seem to see fewer of the latter type. Snobbery reigns supreme.

I guess those conservatives had a problem with Margaret Thatcher, too. Very sad.

There are many conservatives who simply don’t want a woman president, even if she does seem like a female Reagan. They want a strong man instead. Just a statement of fact.

Many of these who don’t want a woman as president are female.

Can’t imagine many here who’d flame you for saying that. It’s exactly how I feel.

I’ll despise McCain forever for throwing her under the bus. He’s a jealous old fool who couldn’t handle the attention she was getting.

Good article.

I would also add that the media has been so conditioned to ignore Dhimmirats who lie and obfuscate everything, that its hard for them to imagine that there just might be an honest candidate or politician still left in the world.

Has a Dhimmirat in the last 50 years run on their actual beliefs, record or core values? No. Instead you get Kerry “gettin a huntin’ license”, or Dukakis in a tank, or Obama trying to move to the right of McCain, which isn’t that hard.

I can proudly say I don’t watch news on any mainstream network. I don’t buy the New York Times, Newsweek or any other Dhimmirat-supporting rag. Whenever possible, I will not buy merchandise or services from advertisers that support their propaganda. Am I extreme? Heck no. This is what you get when you have a media with an agenda that refuses to report the news even somewhat objectively. The more people follow my example, the quicker the mainstream media will have to change or go away.

WOW! This was a wonderful article! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT! Especially this following part, which is DEAD ON....

"Just as prominent African-American conservatives like Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Condi Rice et. al. were castigated as “sell-outs” and “Uncle Toms,” so too Sarah Palin proved a woman can hunt, dress a moose, raise five kids, run the largest state in the country, and excel on her own merit alone, without familial ties or matrimony to powerful men – unlike a Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, or Diane Feinstein – without “mastery” in Ivy League “oppression studies,” rabid support for all forms of abortion, or a general off-putting attitude that suggests all men are evil and somehow stand in their way. Palin’s success essentially said to girls, “If you want, there’s another route you can travel.”

Before Barack Obama’s election, only two Democrats had been elected to the White House since 1968 (Carter and Clinton). Both were from the South and at least portrayed themselves as centrist moderates at the time of their election. Neither of them would have reached the presidency without an unusual variable (Watergate for Carter, Ross Perot’s third candidacy for Clinton).

Democrats in 2008 were aware of this. They knew they have had a poor showing during the last four decades. And at least demographically, they still know they need to rely on a few core “blocs” to ever get elected again – namely, minorities and women. "

Just WOW! WOW! WOW!

How dare she run, she never went to an Ivy League School, never was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, never even wrote a credit default swap.

Why would we want someone who hasn’t been instrumental in destroying out nation?

Now his Homo loving daughter is taking on the conservatives. The MSM is heaping love and praises on her, like father, like daughter.

“In their view, Gov. Palin threatened not just Obama’s chances in 2008, but she threatened the Democrat Party as a whole, as an institution. All of this had led to a feeling of extreme unease. Their answer? To forgo all standards of media objective analysis and attack Sarah Palin and her family in any way, shape, or form. Years from now, journalism classes will look back at this and marvel.”

~~Palin PING!

###

From the Gridiron Dinner last night:

“Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm said that former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska, “really set back the cause of hot governors.”

Then, with an eye on Pennsylvania’s chief executive, Granholm added: “You know where I’m coming from, Ed Rendell.”

Courage and fortitude will be required in 2010. Unfortunately, I don’t have much faith in the Pubby Party because the lack of that dratted spine that’s needed so often.
