President Obama directly addressed the "outrageous" AIG executive bonuses during a town hall meeting Wednesday attended by 1,500 people in the economically battered heart of the state's Republican stronghold, saying "I'll take responsibility - I'm the president."

But today, President Obama took that rhetoric in a different direction. He actually upped the ante explaining that AIG is like a suicide bomber.
“We had to step in, it was the right thing to do, even though it is infuriating,” Obama said, explaining why the government needed to bail out the troubled banks.
“The same is true with AIG,” he said. “It was the right thing to do to step in. Here’s the problem. It’s almost like they’ve got — they’ve got a bomb strapped to them and they’ve got their hand on the trigger. You don’t want them to blow up. But you’ve got to kind of talk them, ease that finger off the trigger.”
My husband works with a bunch of people who keep talking about getting some sort of stimulus money. They actually believe Zero is going to give them money still! One actually believed he would buy her a car.

Yes, AIG committed a bad error of judgement in insuring the various financial devices generated by the financial people.It was bad judgement in distributing the bonuses. However, all this outrage is a diversion from the ultimate cause of this financial mess-THE POLITICIANS REQUIRING LOANS TO BE GIVEN TO THOSE UNABLE TO AFFORD TO REPAY THEM! DON’T LET THE POLITICAL HACKS AND CLOWNS GET AWAY WITH THIS ATTEMPTED DIVERSION!
