WASHINGTON The White House says new projections of spiraling budget deficits won't stop President Barack Obama from achieving his goals or keeping his promise to cut the country's red ink in half within four years.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Friday that the administration is a bit more optimistic about the nation's economic growth over the long term than congressional analysts. The congressional projections released Friday say Obama's budget would generate deficits averaging almost $1 trillion a year over the next decade.

“The White House says new projections of spiraling budget deficits won’t stop President Barack Obama from achieving his goals or keeping his promise to cut the country’s red ink in half within four years.”

LOL! - Newspeak.
They do not know or care about defecits, deppressions or anything else. All they are interested in doing is ramming through legislation to socialize the whole damn shootin match. Once they get these communist plans in place they will be impossible to get rid of.
Gibbs is the highpriest of loony liberal retardos.
I saw it. Loony is a good description.
He honestly expects us to believe that Bambi can run trillion dollar a year deficits for the next ten years and simultaneously cut those deficits in half in the next four?
Tar, feathers, pitchforks, rails.....
Someone asked him specifically about American outrage over things like the economy and crooked cabinet members and all he did was stutter on about AIG bonuses.
Someone get that man a teleprompter, please.

Do they really think there’s going to be any 2010 growth in the economy when production is under attack?
Forecasting a drop of only 1% in GDP 2009?
Too many businesses are going into survival mode.
We understand economics. We live in the real world not the utopian perfection they dream of.
You do not multiply wealth by dividing it.
Gibbs is such a pissy pants the fire must have gone out quickly.
I believe he has previously answered that question. Water is only wet if you touch it ;)
You are so right, there he goes again - doing his imitation of Bagdad Bob.
So the exponentially increasing deficit won’t interfer with Husseins plans to cut the deficit? Does this sound goofy as heck, or is it just me?
