First Female Solicitor General Could Be Named Supreme Court Justice (Harvard's Elena Kagan)
Cybercast News Service / The Associated Press ^ | March 20, 2009 | Mark Sherman

Posted on 03/20/2009 6:18:49 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Elena Kagan on Friday became the nation's first female Solicitor General, a position informally regarded as the 10th Supreme Court justice and, for her, a possible audition for a spot in the starting nine.

Kagan, 48, visited the court for her swearing-in, administered by Chief Justice John Roberts in a ceremony that was closed to reporters.

She is widely regarded as a serious candidate for any opening on the high court that would be filled by President Barack Obama, her former University of Chicago Law School teaching colleague. Justices John Paul Stevens, 88, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 76, and David Souter, 69, are considered the most likely to retire during Obama's presidency.

I can live with that.

If I have to...considering I haven’t amassed enough firepower yet to really DO anything about the situation, LOL!

She hates the military. She fought tooth and nail the law allowing military recruiters on campuses.

Your comment has nothing to do with her gender and my post.

Did you mean to direct it to another poster?

She’s a female (I think) and she is reliably leftist in that she loathes the military. That’s why the libtards are so turned on by her. Also she was law clerk for St. Thurgood Marshall.

Not bad looking in her younger days, although she hasn’t aged at all well. I guess Oscar Wilde had something when he said, “Sooner oy later you get the face you deserve to have”.

She was clerk for Abner Mikva at the US Court of Appeals in DC, then moved on to work for Thurgood Marshall at the SCOTUS. Another recent Obama appointee clerked for Mikva, then Brennan .. wish I could remember who. But there’s a network out there, waiting for a looooooong time to achieve this power.

Good recollection. Even though I disagree with her on just about eveything, I do not consider her a moonbat. The one considered on this thread I will consider a moonbat.

She is the liberal jackass chiefly responsible for revamping the Harvard Law School Curriculum recently. Common Law has been removed as a topic of study, and instead first year students will concentrate on how to politicize and internationalize law.

These changes are extremely important, because Harvard usually sets the pattern followed by law schools all over the country.

That’s my summary of the changes. Here’s Harvard’s summary:

Oh, man. I met Bruce Jenner in an airport just after he won in the Olympics. He was a handsome guy back then, I thought, but what the heck happened to him (other than getting old)? He needs a guy’s haircut, first.

“......I thought, but what the heck happened to him (other than getting old)?”

He had plastic surgery some years ago and the results, as are easily seen, were disastrous.

Here’s a site that shows some other male celebs that were not helped by going under the knife for cosmetic reasons.
