A PACIFIC STORM WILL MOVE RAPIDLY SOUTHEAST INTO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
LATE SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...BRINGING SHOWERS...WITH SNOW TO THE
MOUNTAINS...ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS AND AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES
WELL BELOW NORMAL. THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.
MODERATE TO HEAVY SHOWERS AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED
WITH THE COLD FRONTAL RAIN BAND LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY.
AROUND 1/4 TO 1/2 AN INCH OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE IN THE COASTAL AND
VALLEY AREAS...UP TO ABOUT 3/4 OF AN INCH OF RAIN IN THE
MOUNTAINS...AND UP TO 1/10 OF AN INCH OF RAIN IN THE DESERTS. SNOW
ABOVE 6000 FEET SATURDAY NIGHT...LOWERING TO 4500 FEET SUNDAY. UP TO
6 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE AT THE RESORTS AROUND 6000 FEET.

60S IN THE LOWER DESERTS...AND THE 30S TO LOW 40S MOUNTAIN AREAS.
VERY STRONG WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WILL GUST OVER 50 MPH AT TIMES IN
THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS. THE COMBINATION OF SNOW SHOWERS...STRONG
WINDS AND SHARPLY COLDER WEATHER COULD CREATE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS IN THE HIGHER MOUNTAINS SUNDAY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
MAY BE REQUIRED.
THE STORM WILL MOVE EAST SUNDAY NIGHT...FOLLOWED BY DRY...WARMER
WEATHER NEXT WEEK.
PEOPLE PLANNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THIS WEEKEND SHOULD MONITOR THE
LATEST STATEMENTS AND FORECASTS ON THIS DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM.

Well, we still need the rain.
Forecaster discussion is telling me that I have a 60% chance of 50 mph winds and snow showers Sunday night. It was nearly 80 degrees today. That’s craaaaazy.
Yep, crazy indeed! I was planning a weekend on the water in AZ..Sunday will be a work hard day instead of relaxing and enjoying total peace...I love the El Nino weather we’ve had this year. Seriously, AZ should be just about ahead of the drought...HaHa, Oxymoron!
Do you create a new ping list for every storm? LOL.
I love your updates! Keep me on, please!
The solar minima continues, with a steady increase in Very High Energy Cosmic Rays the varies in an inverse proportion with solar maxima. In 2006 the experts predicted, at the latest, a sharp rise in a stronger than normal, but not necessarily the strongest, Solar Max beginning certainly no later than March 2008.
Aside from the occasional burp of Cycle 24 (and last month a weak, transitory spot of Cycle 23 polarity and locale) this is now long been officially the most protracted solar minimum of the 20th century.
All bets are off on the strength, the onset, the Maunder Minimum, whatever, that should eventually be the sudden sharp rise in solar activity....someday.
Great chart, also courtesy of SpaceWeather.com, HERE.
Make sure the you check the date spread... very enlightening...
CALIFORNIALATE
I see they’ve renamed California to reflect it’s new status as in “The Late Great Golden State”.
Don’t you guys ever sleep! LOL
But I like it and am plotting my next move....
Am about to reboot and try it with the integrated graphic on the ASUS motherboard,....would save me buying a graphic card...the one I have is a little old.
You must have dropped the space character on your end.
I try to get 3 or 4 hrs sleep at a time...7 is better of course.
Speaking of the Sun ...see this thread:

I heard you were hanging upside down up there...LOL
Ahhhh... the Jaunty Jackelope, eh? (I have no idea what that is, lol).
I'm so glad there are people like you to try out all this new stuff and help them get the bugs out before tech-challenged folks like me buy them at half-price. Thank you! ((grin))
Nope. I copied and pasted that off the main page, mot the header off the actual post. They’re different. Like I said, “The Late Great Golden State”. ;^)
Wow! Nice pic!
And *very* cool website!
