SANTA ANA – The Santa Ana City Jail, which receives the most federal revenue of any city jail in the Greater Los Angeles area for housing immigration detainees – is planning to boost its revenue by housing additional detainees and negotiating a rate increase.
Unfilled job vacancies, budget cuts and the lack of new revenue have motivated the Santa Ana Police Department to increase its revenue through immigration detention. The department plans to add 32 additional beds to bring its population capacity to 512 beds by May, said Santa Ana Police Chief Paul Walters.

They can improve their budgetary numbers even more by limiting the caloric intake of any illegal alien detainee to 1000 calories a day. inexpensive, no-frills food and watered-down punch. No cable TV, no weight room, no niceties at all.
Or perhaps a better idea: Go to Mexico’s southern border jails and see how they treat their illegals, then treat our illegals exactly the same way.
Who’s going to populate the jails now that Obama, Pelosi, and Napolitano aren’t going to do any more enforcement.
Not certain, but I seem to recall something whereby our federal government bills the government of the country of origin of the illegal alien to recoup costs. I could well be wrong on this count. If not wrong, would enjoy having this article transmitted beyond our borders to discourage others from coming to the USA illegally.
