AGW Ignorance Depresses Prince Charles
American Thinker ^ | March 22, 2009 | Larrey Anderson

Posted on 03/22/2009 5:41:05 AM PDT by IbJensen

Last week Prince Charles said that our current financial crisis was “nothing ” compared to the horrors of global warming. This week he says it is “depressing” that his ravings about climate change have not been heeded.

Prince Charles is flying around South America in a private jet and giving speeches about being depressed about global warming. Yes he is. Really.

This from Agence France-Presse:

Prince Charles said he finds it "depressing" that his frequent warnings over climate change have not been heeded.

The Prince of Wales added, though, that he was "delighted'' that it seemed people had begun to realise that he had in fact been ringing the alarm over a serious issue and not "complete nonsense.”

"All I have been trying to do is remind people that we have to live and work in harmony with nature if we are to have any chance of surviving on this planet,'' Prince Charles told Brittan’s Sunday Telegraph in the Galapagos Islands at the end of a 10-day tour of South America.

Asked if he was frustrated his warnings had not been taken seriously, he replied: "It is depressing. I am not doing this for myself but, as I keep saying, for everyone's children and our grandchildren.''

The Prince added that "if now people are beginning to realise perhaps, after all, I wasn't talking complete nonsense, then I am delighted.''

Try parsing that last sentence. “If now people are beginning to realise perhaps, after all, I wasn't talking complete nonsense, then I am delighted.''

Apparently, his Royal Highness is a mighty easy prince to delight. Any words he speaks that are heard by other human beings, any words spoken that are short of complete nonsense, make him very, very happy.

Here is a suggestion for the Prince: If you want to be truly, utterly, absolutely, immeasurably ecstatic then cut out the nonsense altogether … just stop talking about global warming.

And enjoy (guilt free) your jet.

he must be trying to keep the heat off from the left to abolish the monarchy, therefore, a kind of life-time leftist advocacy for a cause where he’ll be valued as a “high profile spokesman.” Similarly, anticipating growing Islamization of Britain, the leaks about his having put Moslem cultural features into his home’s decor.

The monarchy in the U.K. has never been known for its intellect. The next in line William: is evidence of this.

They have skated on tradition, fear, ignorance, wars, and feeding the poor.

The people of the United Kingdom would do well to have some plaster casts made of the current group, set up a revered park for their future worship, and cease the faulty facade of nepotism being the ‘only’ way.

Tourism seems to be the only industry to benefit by retaining these creatures who actually believe they are ‘above’ the regular crowd.

Special ‘birthright’ lost its veracity when the underclass began inclusion in the process of freedom for all classes -education.

Eventually, Globalist Whoring advocates like Prince Chuck are going to be massively ridiculed by the general public.

The science is not backing them up, and, they look foolish preaching about Globalist Whoring (er, Global Warming) while flying around in their own polluting “CO2 releasing” [sic] private jets

There was a reason we kicked Britain out of the U.S. George III wasn't much smarter.

In America, we prefer to choose our own twits to rule us......eh, nevermind.

I simply do not believe this. No one can be that stupid with the present situation unfolding. If indeed he did say it and other leaders and influential people believe this nonsense, we are truly doomed.

"AGW Ignorance Depresses Prince Charles"

Very fitting title. I would be depressed, too, if I were as ignorant about AGW as the Prince is.

Try parsing that last sentence. “If now people are beginning to realise perhaps, after all, I wasn't talking complete nonsense, then I am delighted.''

Charles needs to take his cue from the Zodiac Killer, who wrote: "... I will lose complet all control of myself and set the bomb up." Evidently he knew the difference.

My dread and most sovereign lord and prince, I cannot distinguish thy rantings from those of any other spittle flecked lunatic standing on his corner soapbox.

I suppose messianic ego trips are the new privileged avocations of figurehead monarchs. I liked it when they stuck to polo and romantic dalliances.

What makes someone with no apparent academic, scientific or other notable accomplishments feel that he has unique insights into complex physical phenomena? Al Gore is far too poor a judge of human nature to ask.

FIRST, Charles is an idiot, I agree...

Secondly, the American Revolution wasn't against the Crown, it was against a "liberal" Parliament who was using a mentally incapacitated King George as a prop. (Charles is mentally incapacitated.) Only a third of the actual colonial population supported separation from Britain.

Make no mistake, if the bulk of the British forces weren't busy with the French and the Russians, the full weight of the British military would have effortlessly crushed our valiant Continental army.

But, looking past all this, NEVER FORGET...

While the whole world deliberated their myopic pacifism and contemplated their cowardice during the rise of National Socialism, the British Crown spent endless treasures building the Royal Air Force and the British Naval fleet to defeat them and defend the entire earth from that tyranny.

While the Soviet Socialists in full cooperation with NAZIs were all too willing to divide the spoils, they also were ultimately saved by the expense of great treasure from the unwilling Allies of Great Britain with convoys and rail transport.

Yet, today somehow Britain is the villain for standing alone against the onslaught and sacrificing almost an entire generation of the best and brightest. The way I see it, we Englishmen, Scots, Welsh, Canadians, Australians, a few Irish (not all), and New Zealanders saved their asses and had to drag everyone kicking and screaming to help save themselves.

We had the same pacifist fifth column communists here in the States against the war as we do today. Britain had and has them today also.

Prince Chuck is probably the best illustration of why America doesn’t have a monarchy. He couldn’t get elected dog catcher if he had to run for office.

Before you go any further in disparaging the monarchy, I suggest you have a chat with Senator John Kerry. Or any number of the vapid clymers who make up America's "elite." O, say for instance, Al Gore or Chris Dodd. Inherited position-holders, just like the horde of lesser Kennedy Klan Klutzes, who collectively have the IQ of a flock of geese.

nd we haven't the excuse of a monarchy. These people get elected. By us.

Thank goodness they spent much of that treasure here in the good old USA, helping our man FDR get a a grip on the Depression. Interesting that we Yanks are the ones who broke the Bank of England!
