It is worse than that. To say that the mother owns the unborn in her womb is direct analogy of slavery. To say that therefore she is entitled to kill the baby is analogy of legally killing a slave for her own convenience. That is something that, I am sure, most 19c slaveowners would cringe at the thought of.
Isnt it true that most abortions are of minority babies? If so why isnt this genocide?
Nor does the history of slavery pertain only to blacks. All people of all races were subjected to slavery at one time or another, some even more recent that blacks in America.

I don’t think there was any legal prohibition on killing a slave. And if it wasn’t your own, you just owed compensation to the owner, but there was no legal/murder problem for doing so.
Most slave owners wouldn’t kill a slave because they were EXPENSIVE.
They are both variants of coercion.Both are destructive to life.
The only slaves in the history of the world were the black slaves in ante-bellum USA.
The only people to have every owned slaves in the history of the world were white Americans, more specifically the Founding Fathers,
It bothers me that this genocide continues (thanks to Margeret Sanger and other lovers of Eugenics) and my black people aren’t up in arms about it. We should be angry about this!
500 years from now we will still hear complaining that blacks can’t get ahead because of slavery. Hip Hip has done more to destroy the chances of the average black youth of 2008 than slavery ever did.

This is not quite true. Blacks make up about 12% of the population, but account of about 32% of abortions. I believe Hispanic rates are lower due to many of them being Catholic. I'm not certain about Asian rates, but I suspect they are fairly low compared to Blacks.
Missouri NAACP President Mary Ratliff was upset by the speech and told the Associated Press the abortion-slavery comparison was “’apples to oranges.”
She is right here, in fact abortion is much more grievious of a sin than slavery.

Someone living is slavery had life and perhaps a shot at freedom. An aborted infant never got to see the light of day.

Truth be told, there were free blacks before the Civil War who owned black slaves, in the North.

At least a slave had a chance of freedom. An aborted baby has no chance.
