Shriver's office is still working out details, but the 800-square-foot "demonstration garden" will be on the east side of the Capitol building and will be planted in May.

May is pretty late to start a garden in CA.

Put the homeless to work in the garden instead of paying state employees $75,000 a year to do it. Let the homeless earn some self respect if they have any sense of what that means.

I guess this is the new trend. Like none of us have ever planted a garden and they are going to show us how it’s done.
