Emancipation Day could be dropped as a D.C. public holiday

D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty has proposed to eliminate as a public holiday Emancipation Day, which commemorates Abraham Lincolns decision in 1862 to free slaves in the District.

Since Emancipation Day is something that all Americans can rally around it must be removed in favor of Juneteenth so that it excludes White Americans.
