They apparently met through a Craigslist ad for “violent sex” and the young man says he stabbed Weber in his Brooklyn apartment Friday night during a “violent, drug-fueled assault.” The Daily News says police got on the trail by looking through Weber’s home computer and cellphone records. Investigators believe George was killed Friday night, the victim of knife wounds all over his body. He had most recently been doing weekend anchor work for ABC News Radio, and before that had spent most of a decade at WABC, New York (770). WABC PD Laurie Cantillo says there may be a memorial service in the city. The family is planning services back in his native Pennsylvania, where he started in radio at age 16. The family says “we are devastated by the loss of George – Jordy, to us. He was truly a caring person who loved and was loved by all he met.”

Just guessing, but one of the factors that leads people to become gay is the absence of a father or male authority figure. What causes people to become gay is much disputed, but this is pretty certainly one factor.
So, probably a welfare mother, no father, and maybe already out of the house earning his living at 16. Or a mother who doesn't much care what he does.
So our intrepid radio reporter:
Solicited a teenager for sex
Solicited the teen for prostitution
Contributed to the delinquency of said minor by providing alcohol and cocaine.

Or, I guess these parents never checked the kid's computer use. It seems so many of these sex related murders (and recently the girl who hung herself because nude pics she sent on her cell phone ended up on the Internet), are connected with Internet and cell phone-texting use. Are all parents ignoring what their kids are doing with today's technology devices?
As to the journalist - it is frightening to discover how many seemingly "normal" people are out there prowling for weird sex thrills behind their doors. But he contacted his murderer for the specific reason of violent sex, and that is what he got.
The families of these two must be hurting, and that is a real shame. But, when you have kids, you must be a good parent and not let your children have complete freedom from your watching eye.

About 2 years ago, I was in a cocktail lounge in San Francsico (normal place, I’m a straight guy) with some friends. I ended up talking with these two Air Force officers who were on leave from Japan and in the course of his very intelligent diatribe on Bush/US Military/Muslim fanatics/Communism in the USA...
He told me, until the US citizen feels “pain” we will not do anything. Pain is lack of a job, food, heat or gasoline. Pain is being intimidated in your own country by illegal foreign nationals...by jackbooted Obama thugs in the Civilian Defense Corps...by taxation that makes you poor...by a cap and trade global scam that makes us be afraid of fake global warming and watch Al Gore make billions in the carbon credit scam.
Until we feel pain, and cannot watch American Idol, listen to our Ipod or our cable internet is gone, we will not react.
Until our supemarket shelves are empty, we will remain docile.

him being gay doesn’t make him a bad person but man o man, there is a very dark and demented gay underworld, as there is with heteros, that is just sick. I bet some of this twisted dark behavior was exhibited in Barney Franks house when his ex bf was running a brothel outta it.

The troubled teenager accused of stabbing WABC newsman George Weber during drug-fueled rough sex is a 16-year-old Satan-loving sadomasochist with a knife fetish. John Katehis, who is just 16 and lives in East Elmhurst, Queens, posted pictures of himself on MySpace.com with various blades - including one he held against his neck. He also issued a chilling warning. "If you disrespect me then I will f-----g break your neck," he wrote. On his site, Katehis called himself "Extremist, an Anarchist, a Sadomasochist" and said he enjoys "long conversations, drinking, bike riding, hanging out."
The teen also listed more sinister hobbies like "roof hopping, hanging off trains" and claimed be into extremely violent video games. "I am a very easy person to talk to," he wrote. "I like to do crazy and wild things ... I'm always looking for a big thrill. Katehis was on the run in upstate Middletown, when cops picked him up just after midnight. He admitted answering an ad Weber placed on the Internet looking for a partner in rough sex, police and law enforcements sources said. "He saw the victim's ad looking for violent sex and said, 'I can smother somebody for $60,' but it got out of hand," a source said.
The teen admitted he stabbed Weber, but couldn't remember how many times because he "blanked out" during the assault. He was in custody Wednesday at Brooklyn's 76th Precinct. Cops found the suspect by combing through Weber's e-mail and Web browser history and tracking calls he made from his cell phone, sources said. The two met in Brooklyn early Friday evening and then returned to the newsman's Carroll Gardens brownstone apartment under the premise of engaging in sadomasochistic acts, sources said.
Weber, 47, whose ankles were bound with duct tape, was stabbed repeatedly in a frenzied attack that sprayed the walls with blood. The newsman fought back and wounded his assailant, whose blood was found in the bedroom and bathtub drain, the sources said. Cops believe Weber's killer tried to clean up before fleeing the Henry St. home. Weber had been writing a neighborhood blog and was freelancing for ABC's national radio network after he was laid off from his job doing local news on WABC morning radio. His body was found Sunday morning.
"We are devastated by the loss of George - Jordy to us," the veteran newsman's family said in a statement Tuesday. "He was truly a caring person who loved and was loved by all he met. "Jordy loved New York and its people, particularly his Carroll Gardens neighborhood. The outpouring of support by his friends and neighbors is a blessing to us and a testimony to his character." A memorial service is in the works, but arrangements have not been finalized, the family said.

Police sources told The Post that Weber's legs were duct-taped and that he pulled out a knife to free himself - not attack Katehis. Katehis told cops that he and Weber drank Vodka and did cocaine before the situation turned violent. He told police that Weber pulled a knife on him, he took it and stabbed the former radio newscaster.

You’re right about this kind of behavior being exhibited in the hetero world. But it happens, per capita, more in the gay community and shows me that how homosexuality truly it is a sexual abheration. That’s why long term relationships are rare in the gay community (although we know they do exist. My very good friend of mine has been with his partner for almost 50 years and I love them. They were gay before it was cool.) It’s not about love, it’s about sex. It’s a sexual obsession. Sorry, but it’s true.
