So if he’s been wrong on certain things we should ignore him on everything else, and advance Obama’s national death wish. Good idea.

I agree. Why don’t we just crucify everyone who has done one thing we don’t like. Then we will have NOBODY to speak out except for bloggers on the internet. Eventually they will go away and then we can live under the rule of the evil Kenyan POS dictator for the rest of our lives.
LOL. Thank you for providing some clarity. There’s a tendency here sometimes to throw someone under a bus over one issue that the masses might disagree with. Unless we exhume Ronald Reagan and display him like King Tut, we’re just not going to find someone with a 100% favorability rating. Newt’s a smart guy, his ideas should at least be considered. He still makes more sense than anyone on the Dim side.
How can he be trusted?
The problem is, once you get stabbed in the back, it's kind of hard to trust again.
If we only voted for those who agree with us 100% of the time, then we'd be all be writing in our own names every 2 years.
That's not to say we should reign in our own to stick to conservative principles, but you have to pick your battles.
The problem I have with Newt Gingrich is that I can't trust him -- it's always a choice between Newt's narcissism; and the ideas he has, which aren't necessarily bad, but are often Newt-centric.
As this article suggeests, he's also become something of a bomb-thrower -- a sure indicator of that sorry descent into niche politics (see, e.g., Pat Buchanan and Tom Tancredo for other notable examples). The CRISIS is ALWAYS IN CAPITAL LETTERS (figuratively speaking, of course).
Unbelievable isn't it.
