OBAMA'S MOST PERILOUS LEGAL PICK
New York Post ^ | March 30, 2009 | MEGHAN CLYNE

Posted on 03/30/2009 1:00:01 PM PDT by lqcincinnatus

JUDGES should interpret the Constitution according to other nations' legal "norms." Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts. The United States constitutes an "axis of disobedience" along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq.

Those are the views of the man on track to become one of the US government's top lawyers: Harold Koh.

I always look to see what the left hand is doing!

This isn’t going to end well, is it?

“Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts.”

And they thought his being raised Muslim would not be a problem.

No, it isn’t. Not if the sheeple don’t awaken.

[David Bernstein, April 4, 2007 at 10:14pm] Trackbacks
Profile of Yale Law Dean Harold Koh: The Yale Daily News has what strikes me as a balanced profile of Koh [the first of a two-parter], who is by all accounts a nice guy, a good fundraiser, and beloved by his students, but is also a highly partisan liberal Democrat under whose tenure as dean conservative and libertarian students have felt increasingly uncomfortable, and conservative and libertarian alumni have, at least in some cases (as noted in the Daily News piece) grown increasingly alienated.

The article paraphrases a post I wrote for the VC mentioning that, by contrast to when I was a student, Harvard Law School under Dean Kagan now has a reputation as a far friendlier place than Yale for Federalist Society types, and that Harvard is now much more open-minded than Yale about hiring non-liberals. While I don’t object to the paraphrase, it would have been better form if the Daily News writer had made it clear that he never actually spoke to me, but just cribbed some comments from the VC.

Meanwhile, Professor Bainbridge piles on. Noting that Koh is on everyone’s short list for the Supreme Court in a Democratic administration, Bainbridges predicts that “Koh’s appointment to the SCOTUS would be an unmitigated disaster.”

Would KOH support the right of everyone to have an AK-47 in the house?

Represent our country before the UN and the International Criminal Court?

Was I sleeping here or since when did we join the I.C.C.? I thought that was one of the good things that Bush did by refusing to put us in with these fools.

Obama:

1. Familial background: muslim
2. The “oopsie” with Stephanopolous (”my muslim faith”)
3. The “gaffe” of “57 states”
4. First post-inaugural media interview: Al-Arabiya.
5. First foreign leader contact: Mohammed Abbas, PA
6. Closing GITMO
7. Says we are “not winning” (read: LOSING) in Afghanistan
8. Says we should talk without preconditions to Iran
9. Sends essentially surrender-themed video to Iran
10. Plans within months to give a speech in a muslim capital.
11. Plans to free GITMO detainees on our streets WITH WELFARE ASSISTANCE!!!
12. Seeks to add a significant number of muslims to governmental positions.
13. Plans to hire Harold Koh, who believes sharia law should apply to disputes in U.S. courts.

Look how each issue grows in seriousness as it occurs. If he is not stopped, our future as a nation is dark indeed.

That is a right available to every Iraqi citizen.

Well, maybe if it was made by Mattel. But I wouldn't bet on it.

You forget that 52% of the country elected this man, and we are still a loooooong way away from the only peaceful hope we have to stop him cold (the 2010 elections).

If the Tea Party protests start to grow to the point that the MSM can no longer ignore them, the 0 will mobilize his supporters as a street-level counter-weight.

I KNOW people who would turn out anytime, anywhere, FOR this man. Do not be fooled into thinking that you would be the only one on the streets.

The time for SECESSION is here — we must either accept the inevitable or bend our knees forever to the Tyrant.

52% might have elected them, but 25% of that were mostly haters, President Bush haters mostly.

Such as these are out for themselves and are merely pawns. They will soon see this and God help the 0 and the left wing nuts then.

Americans (The real Americans) are not going to lay down for the left to walk over them.

Bambi is selling fear, but what he fails to see is this, if all there is is fear, then fear is meaningless and there is no longer anything left to lose.

Bambi cannot win, because like hi, his words are empty.

It's going to be rough, but it ain't over yet.
