GRANTS PASS, Ore.The Obama administration has notified a federal court that it will not defend the Bush administration's decision to cut back protections for the northern spotted owl.
In a motion filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., lawyers for the Department of Interior said they based the decision on an inspector general's report finding political interference in owl protections by a former deputy assistant Interior secretary, Julie MacDonald.
If the spotted owl measures developed by the Bush administration are withdrawn, it would become difficult for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management to go forward with plans to boost logging in Western Oregon to increase log supplies and payments to timber counties.

It’s because they taste like chicken.
Does this mean Il Douche is putting a bounty on Barred Owls?
This certainly won’t help Oregon’s over 10% unemployment rate. We have a lot of mills over here that have shut down and put whole communities out of work. We really need to figure out some way to sue the environmentalists and judges for all of the harm that they have done to our country. Hopefully enough people will wake up while we still have some country left. We are going Fascist so fast at the moment that it is absolutely terrifying.
