and they wonder why people leave the party? This is a perfect example. I have stated previously that while Romney is a good husband and family man...there is just something about him that I never liked. Have never been able to put my finger on it to date but...perhaps this was what I was seeing and not realizing it.
We left that party a LONG time ago. They have done NOTHING for us.
Liberal Republicans like Giuliani and Romney are never embraced by enough conservatives to make a difference and will never become potus. What they do succeed at, is fracturing the GOP and giving the Demlibs an open field to election victory. At least Giuliani didn't hide his hardcore social liberalism.
OTOH, Romney is still working overtime in a futile effort to hoodwink some Republicans into accepting his recent political conversions. At the same time either ignoring or forgetting his life long support for liberal issues and liberal causes. Willard's rhetoric at CPAC and the NRSC may have struck a cord with some folks. I just wouldn't call them conservatives.
