In the two days since a three judge state panel handed Norm Coleman a major setback in his election contest against entertainer Al Franken (D) the former Minnesota senator has made clear that he has no plans to declare defeat anytime soon.
"Well, clearly it wasn't over," Coleman said during a radio interview yesterday, adding: "Every vote has to now be counted, and as I repeat again and again, counted with a uniform standard."
Coleman's lead lawyer, Ben Ginsberg, has dismissed the court's ruling on Tuesday as an "April Fool's day" decision. The ruling "gives us no choice but to appeal that order to Minnesota Supreme Court," added Ginsberg.

No.
Hello NO.
If he decides to concede, he should announce a time to make a statement and RAISE HELL!
No.
And....no...
NO!!!
Obviously NO.
Absolutely NOT.
No, Coleman should not concede.
“Hello NO.”
That’s *Doctor* No, to you, sir....:))
never. He should also be forming his own militia.
Don’t ever concede, force it to the state supreme court, and when Franken “wins” claim he’s an illegitimate senator because he was “selected, not elected”. And keep doing it for the next six years.
A fraud in broad daylight - so many elections are being stolen by the left we must be on the verge of the equivalent of the 1917 Bolshevik revolution in Russia - we all know how that turned out!
I think we’re all in a bit of trouble, what do you think?
Certainly not! There are so many things wrong with this picture that a concession his part would do nothing more than encourage the other side to pull those tricks again and again.
It’s sad that as a country we’ve fallen to the level that we can’t even have an honest election.
He should concede when all the votes have been counted and it’s been determined, without fraud, that he is the loser.
See my post # 4
As long as he’s payin out of his campaigns pocket, no.
Statistically speaking, close elections should break 50-50 for either party after all the dust settles.
Although we did get the bif one (Florida, 2000), I would venture to guess that 80%+ of very close elections (less than .1% margin) go to the Democrats. The people who love the idea of performing a census using statistical sampling should know that this is prima facie evidence of rigged outcomes.
WaPo needs to be asked if they ever considered asking Franken to concede, and why they waited until Franken was “ahead” before asking someone (read: Coleman) to concede.
Hell no!
Never give in—make them wait and see....
What would the messiah do? He wouldn’t quit. Drag it out as long as possible. Maybe Stewart will die of a heart attack before it is done.
All the way to the Supreme’s.
I didn’t realize his atty is Ben Ginsburg....I love that guy!
NO.
But he will - at some point. The McCain wing of the Party will prevail upon him the need to be civil, to act to stabalize the government and help the new President “succeed.”
Damn it!
It's up to us Minnesota voters not people around the U.S.A!
We need a special election and NOW!
THEN let's see who wins by a virtual landslide!
That would be too fair however to consider of course.
That he may be, and if so, the longer it takes, the better off we all are... Just Say NO!!
“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense.” — Winston Churchill
Not that it matters.
No!
I am a realist. But, I assure you - I’ll never give up. I am the resistance, and I will not compromise. So - in the end, they’ll have to line me up against the wall and shoot me.
No.
Well, there is that....
Heh!
Leaves the definition of "entertainer" wide open doesn't it?
Not until all votes are counted with a uniform standard, which apparently has not happened.
It sounds like from this that Coleman has no intention of conceding. GOOD!! I hope he fights this to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary. After what the Dims did to Stevens of Alaska, we need to win one of these corruption cases.
When dumbO produces his birth certificate and college transcripts.
Eff no.
Man, that’s dumb.
I would be happy with a perpetual stalemate for the next 6 years. 99 is more than enough senators especially if the 100th would be Al Franken or a republican of Coleman’s bent
Well, I’m sure that Coleman would have voted for TARP, stimulus, budget, and so on, and so on. He’s not really a conservative.
NO!
If it wasn’t for the idiot third party fools taking away votes, Coleman would be back in the Senate.
If the George Soros funded Marxist Al Franken ends up in
the Senate, thank the idiot third party loons
Good point. A stalemate is a win-win for us.
Make it go the Supremes!!!!! Finding votes in the trunks of cars???Give us a break!!!
“Finding votes in the trunks of cars???”
And I’m sure they will find a few thousand more(or whatever it takes for a win) still lodged in the trunks of cars.
I notice you're not a Minnesotan. No skin off your nose to shout like that.
Yes, Coleman's a RINO, but Jason Lewis had a point yesterday. After the h*ll the liberals have put him through in this fiasco, Coleman must now realize there is no point in sucking up to them. He might be a man unleashed if he gets back in.
Coleman's also done some great work to expose the UN and is firmly against card check legislation. There IS a big difference between Norm and Al.
And the other biggie here: R's need to fight back against this fraud and fight hard. No more turning tail and letting the rats get away with cheating and stealing elections.
NO!!!
