President Obama held a much ballyhooed town hall in Strasbourg, France, on Friday, touted by the White House as an outreach to Europeans on the second leg of the president's "listening" tour.
But the first person he called on was an American -- and the third, too. By the end of the hourlong session, not a single French citizen got to ask the U.S. president a question.
In all, Obama took just five questions from the thousands of people packed into a sports arena after delivering a lengthy speech read from a teleprompter. And the query topics were on the light side; one asked about the expected acquisition of a family dog, another about whether "you regret to have run for presidency."

Couldn’t he find any shills in all of France?
Were they part of his entourage?
what a poseur
How do you say TOTUS in French? I know he brought along 12 of them for the trip.
King Arthur: Go and tell your master that we have been charged by God with a sacred quest. If he will give us food and shelter for the night, he can join us in our quest for the Holy Grail.
French Soldier: Well, I’ll ask him, but I don’t think he will be very keen. Uh, he’s already got one, you see.
King Arthur: What?
Sir Galahad: He said they’ve already got one!
King Arthur: Are you sure he’s got one?
French Soldier: Oh yes, it’s very nice!
How do you say POS traitor A-hole in French ... in Clamper-ese it’s Obama
He is an embarrassment.
Check the tape!!!!! He had a ‘pre-planned’ list to call. Sarkozy DID NOT realize this and gestured the audience of press at RANDOM....right after Zero called a reporter’s name from his list.
After responding in typical fashion ( that is to say, rambling aimlessly in lieu of a cogent train of thought), Pres--ent Ogabe said, "Now, I'll have another townhall when I get back to America so all you Americans in the audience can ask me questions then. But, for now, let's give others a chance."
And then he sort of spun around as if contemplating who he should call on next.
My immediate thought was, "You ignoramus. How can you tell who in the audience is American and who is an "other"?
So it's no surprise that he called on another American. From what I could tell, everybody in the audience looked pretty much the same: slobs, anarchists, and generally losers of life's looks lottery.
So Europe is seeing his strings? Maybe?
the phrase would be:
“Obongo est un gran bloc de fromage”
The UK media may say one thing......but I can tell you the people scrutinize EVERYTHING.
FUBO is a grand pad of cheese ?????
Sacre Bleu - eet is true!
The remarkable event of the day is that for the first time ever France had someone surrender to them - the Resident of the United States and Monkey-in-chief Rockstar Osama.
Sheep
and no IN-HOUSE translators??????
Obummer gets his Butt kicked in France also.
OR, was it just easier to 'fake the plants' - if they were out-of-towners?
I used to love cheese ... until a moose bit my sister ...
. . .and at least someone 'over there' did just that. . .
John Grace: The question that flummoxed the great orator . . . A fun read from The Guardian/UK;
That’s a great piece. Read that earlier! LOL!
FTR:
Petite crapule de merde will do.
He doesn’t control them like the US press. It’s too much of a risk for the surprise question that he doesn’t want to answer for the TOTUS’s puppet.
I detect a distinct dislike by the French of Zero.
Zero, vous avez mille fois pire que Bush porc!
Le Doofus!
Hold on. There was a thread this morning that said he made a point of NOT calling on American reporters, and, in fact, when I tuned in, he didn’t.
What is the truth here?
He talked of transparency. It seems more are seeing right through him.
The French around him were just a backdrop, like wall paper as he was playing to the American TV audience. He is on a continuous campaign mode and will be until 2010, 2112 and beyond. As far as using the French as decoration, that’s their natural status.
This Washington Times article paints this Obama French “press conference” as staged. Obama feigns for questions from only European reporters but only gets US questioners or students questions from Heidelberg, which one asked about his dog. One person spoke with a German accent but did not say where he was from. Obama playing the US audience as fools.
Did the teleprompter tell him to surrender too? :)
His poor attempt at French was another embarrassment and watching his speeches reminds me of the old “Pong” video games as he is mechanically shifts his head from side to side to read his drivel. Imagine how Bush would have been vilified in the media for doing this.
Indulge me...earlier today in a radio news break they were covering Zero’s travels to London and France. A limerick of sorts came to mind, not a good limerick but here goes...OK it’s really just a rhyme, I am sure limerick experts will say it is not a limerick.....
He’s seen London
He’s seen France
But we’ve seen Barry’s Underpants.
The underpants episode would be his much photographed trip to Hawaiian beaches, and the inappropriate show of bare skin for a person who was holding the made up “Office of The President Elect”. A little hint of the inappropriate things he’d be doing later....like taking over GM for instance, giving The Queen an i-pod, Gordon Brown getting useless DVDs, bowing to Saudi princes,,,,etc etc etc.
I am surprised his pals at Newsweek or the IHT couldn’t arrange a phony question for the TOTUS to answer.
I saw that as well.
This one liked him.

"For a French student who gave the president a kiss when he greeted the enraptured crowd said he was initially reluctant to get close to her. In fact, she said he had to be persuaded to do so by Nicolas Sarkozy.
Cecilia Dervogne, a student at the University of Strasbourg, was among a noisy crowd of well-wishers greeting the Obamas as they arrived today.
As they approached the crowd to shake hands, Ms Dervogne called out to him.
'I said in slightly hesitating English... 'A kiss for me?'' Ms Dervogne told i-tele television.
'He showed me his bodyguards, who were surveying everything. I think there was a security gap we were supposed to keep to,' she said.
Mr Obama also apparently pointed out that his wife, Michelle, was watching.
But Mr Sarkozy would not be deterred, Ms Devogne said.
'And there was Mr Sarkozy who re-insisted and said: 'What, you're not going to give her a kiss?'
'So he offered his cheek timidly and I gave him a kiss.'"
Oh those kooky French!(My comment)

But the French just LOVE him don’t they????
More truth than what our MSM has reported/sigh!
