Before I posted that I went looking for some video of a court house in (I think) Texas where shots were fired outside and all the law enforcement guys went running towards the gunfire.

Since I am sometimes critical of them I was hoping to post that video because it makes magnificently clear that this is something that at least many of the rank and file cops want to fix.

It is a great piece of film and I hope that someone posts a link.

“Police Chief Joseph Zikuski said she stayed on the phone for 90 minutes, “feeding us information constantly,”

90 minutes the cops sat outside. And the gunman wasn’t shooting at them.

If cops like these are enlisted to round up guns, it will take them about a year to round up 25 guns, and by the time they get to house No. 24, only one cop will be left and he’ll be eating doughnuts at dispatch, answering calls about kittens stuck in trees.

This action by these cops mimics what happened at the LA riots and Columbine. If the action gets rough, cops in liberal cities will either hide or go home. This is good information to file away. I suspect a good number of them will refuse orders to bang on doors and demand tribute to king obuma. I know a few who will ally with the citizens against the DC fascist criminals.

Next time you see a cop, thank him for doing a good job in a tough situation. It’s all part of the psychological warfare we need to do to turn cops away from their Marxist masters in the big cities. So all you people who think not enough is being done, do that. Bake a bunch of cookies for the cops at the station and drop them off.

Interesting times, indeed.

This is a huge issue. Cops wait for an hour plus to enter in fear of one man even when they know victims are wounded and bleeding to death?

“anti-gun nuts take office, then there’s a bunch of shootings ready made for them to stamp their feet & wail about. you have to admit it’s pretty convenient.”

Yes the GUN BAN FOLKS will be out in full force. Will any one ask if this guy had a gun legally? What would have happened if the receptions were allowed to pack? All sorts of talk will go on about this. God be with all who lost a family member.

I’ve been wondering about that. But I think its just the overall negativity that has been brought out by the hope team. People are depressed and desperate. One loser does it and other losers are that much closer.

I don’t know if it is on youtube but I have video tape (from the TV) that shows the cops fleeing ground zero as the first automobile was attacked by the mob as a news helicopter filmed the scene.

The police car drove AROUND the car that was under attack in the middle of the street while a news helicopter watched from above.

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

I’m sure we’ll hear he bought it at a gun show.

Seems like there has to be a happy medium between the No-Knock Entries and the Hide-Until-Bad-Guy-Goes-Away. Maybe we’re asking too much of ordinary mortals? I dunno. I’d be happy to have Police salaries doubled if they could get the happy medium right: Sheepdogs ought not be underpaid, in fact they should be paid a premium for doing properly a dangerous and thankless task such as policing. Firemen too. Soldiers too. Ambulance and Nurses too.

You know, I’m sure footage like that aired here in NZ a while back. I’m going to check the TVNZ archives, see if it is there. Back shortly...

Anyone else struck by the difference in the police response in Carthage NC on Sunday? In a small town in the south, the hero is a lone officer who immediately enters the nursing home and takes the killer out. In mid-size city in NY, the hero is the receptionist who describes to the police what’s going on for 90 minutes while they wait outside. There’s no report of negotiations going on during this time.

Here is some useful video, this isn’t the ground zero video that it describes itself as but it is revealing, catch the end.

It’s a great saying, and very true. The cops that I know would readily admit that. It’s one really good reason for everybody to be capable of defending themselves at least to some extent. I really envy you Yanks having the right to keep and bear arms in self-defense: we do not have that right here in NZ, and that’s silly. We aren’t even allowed to use anything other than “reasonable” force — which the courts usually interpret to mean “minimum force”. Naturally, the Bad Men really appreciate that!

Just this past week, a Sikh store owner was acquitted for assaulting two teenagers with a grasshockey stick. They had just robbed his corner store and stabbed him. Yet the cops saw fit to press charges against this store owner!

Un-be-frigging-lieveable. It is stuff like this that makes me shake my head in disgust.

90 friggin minutes?
We truly have become a nation of weak poeple...
Lacking the will and spine that previous generations had.

Was SWAT waiting for the shooter to run out of ammo?

Unreal. That was from the LA riots a’la Rodney King?

I wonder how much influence over the violence the presence of a News Chopper had? If I had to guess, having the Chopper there taking pictures probably didn’t help matters at all.

Felt sorry for that van driver, ay.

I sometimes wonder if that isn’t a real strategy to them.

Shortly after Columbine many departments changed their policy - have the first officers on the scene immediately enter to give aid and do a recon. Don’t wait for SWAT to gear up and assemble.
Obviously this department didn’t change.

Your post made me realize this is 2009.

Remember New York 9/11, 2001?

Remember Beslan? Ultimately, at least 334 hostages were killed, including 186 children. Hundreds more were wounded or reported missing.

Remember the DC snipers?

This is 2009 are we really ready for the terrorists?
