Rape is an atrocious act of violence. These men are beyond reproach. I believe people are born gay or straight, the end. Therapy, coercion or, God forbid, rape will not change the outcome of someone's sexual orientation, period.
I am stating my opinion and will not debate religious dogma as it would be futile.
I believe people aren’t “born that way,” but I agree with you that rape isn’t going to “cure” anything. All it will do is make these women hate men, if they don’t already.
Growing up, many years ago, there was a family friend who was gay. (It was explained to me later.) She grew up in a convent in Europe (I won’t say where - too many details), and during WWII, soldiers passing through broke into the convent and raped the nuns there. It left a terrible impression of men on a young girl. (I’m not sure if she was raped herself.)
Just about everyone who took time to be as accurate as they could, from St. Paul to Freud to modern atheist psychologists dragged kicking and screaming by the facts, disagrees with you about the flexibility of sexual desire.
Darling you are wrong about sexual orientation but you have a right to be. I will agree that there is nothing corrective about rape, it is wrong regardless of sexual proclivities or peculiarities.
You may want to visit this and un-brainwash your mind a little.
“I believe people are born gay or straight, the end.”
I believe you’re wrong, I think it could be something that’s very difficult and complicated to turn around, but I do wish you well.
I dont believe all gays were born that way - maybe a few, but not many.
Ive known a few lesbians as friends - several were heterosexual until they were raped. The trauma left them not wanting anything to do with men and sex. Others switched because they were mistreated by men. Only the extremely ignorant could think rape would cure a lesbian - its an excuse to get away with rape.
I believe you’re right about the genetic component, for the most part.
Right on point. I agree that there is a genetic predisposition to sexual orientation. It is beyond ignorant to think any kind of “conditioning” would change that.
I am straight and I could care less what a person’s sexual orientation is because that’s part of their own individual freedom and liberty.
