I have nothing to add to what you said in your post except that you had said it plainly. Interestingly, here in Germany I don't get American radio except through the Internet so I listen to programs like Hugh Hewlett who is kind enough to provide downloads. Listening to his Friday show I was astonished that he asked the majority of his many guests whether they thought that Obama was the "antichrist." This was all the more remarkable because Hewlett had earlier made reference to Free Republic although I cannot say for sure that here is where he got this idea.
Clearly, we are not a bunch of blind moles climbing over each other but a significant force because a lot of people are reading our mail.
Hugh Hewlett's guests were led by Hewlett, a lawyer who is normally very punctilious, into affirming that Obama was in fact not the antichrist but each guest hedged that opinion leaving the door open to something worse than Hewlett suggested description, that of a "liberal." My point is that there are a lot of people who are preoccupied about the nature of the man in the White House and whether there is in fact a Trojan horse in our midst about to open the gates to the barbarians.
Hugh Hewlett is clearly concerned about this issue but it is not clear whether his concern is that the right not to disgrace itself with such preposterous speculations, or if the danger is real and present.
Thank you for your kind words.
Yes I know it, that was one of the principal points of my vanity. But I do take your point whether we are arguing over the usage of words like "capitalism" or "democracy" or "free market" we are inevitably aiming at moving targets controlled by the left as in a Kafkaesque nightmare-or better yet an Orwellian nightmare as both you and I have affirmed the applicability of that adjective.
Yeah, a bundesrepublik right? I knew if I put that we were a “democracy” someone would correct me and say we are a “representative republic” so I used the correct term and sure enough.... Can’t win I guess.
We did that??? Wow!!
:-)
Keep up the good work.
Well, you certainly strung a few nice ones together.
I just sit here nursing my new stainless steel knee and talking into the headset and all the rest is digital alchemy over which I have no control. The Dragon program permits you to say in three paragraphs that which you could have typed in a phrase. There was a shorter version on the market called "pithy" but I opted for the upscale version called "Prolix."
Many conservatives are aware of Hillsdale College, one of the two accredited colleges in the U.S. that refuse to take any money from any government. Affiliated with Hillsdale College is Hillsdale Academy, a private K-12 school based on the same (conservative) moral principles. If you want to set up a similar school, you can download their "reference guides" (registration required).
For all of his hopes about bipartisanship, Barack Obama has the most polarized early job approval ratings of any president in the past four decades.

Liberalism is evil, and evil can't abide mockery.
Great writing nathanbedford.
