Surviving Obama's Bipartisanship
The American Thinker Blog ^ | April 06, 2009 | Larrey Anderson

President Obama has made an awful lot of promises -- none more often than his vows of bipartisanship. He promised cross party compromise on foreign policy. He guaranteed bipartisanship on deficit spending and on the bailouts.

In fact, right after he was elected he said:

"In this country, we rise or fall as one nation, as one people," Obama said. "Let's resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long."

He ... misspoke. According to a new poll by the Pew Research Center, Obama is the most divisive president elected by America in most people’s lifetimes:

For all of his hopes about bipartisanship, Barack Obama has the most polarized early job approval ratings of any president in the past four decades. The 61-point partisan gap in opinions about Obama's job performance is the result of a combination of high Democratic ratings for the president -- 88% job approval among Democrats -- and relatively low approval ratings among Republicans (27%).

By comparison, there was a somewhat smaller 51-point partisan gap in views of George W. Bush's job performance in April 2001, a few months into his first term. At that time, Republican enthusiasm for Bush was comparable to how Democrats feel about Obama today, but there was substantially less criticism from members of the opposition party.

Of course the media won’t see it as because of Obama’s far-left NAZI-like government, but because of Obama’s race. No, it has nothing to do with Obama wanting to eliminate Capitalism and a government power grab like never seen in this country before.

Obama’s “cooling the mark”....he’s doing whatever he damned well wants, while talking in soothing tones to keep the Republicans in congress fat and happy.

“No, it has nothing to do with Obama wanting to eliminate Capitalism and a government power grab like never seen in this country before.”

But when conservatives point these disturbing facts out we are the one's that are called “divisive.” They can call me whatever they want. I will never give my approval to the purposeful destruction of America.
