Big deal. War against Islam has never been declared by the U.S. Islamic terrorists, yes. Islam, no. (Not our fault that so many Islamics it the world are or support terrorists.)

And we will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better including my own country. The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their family, or have lived in a Muslim-majority country I know, because I am one of them.

The U.S. president is trying to mend fences with a Muslim world that felt it had been blamed by America for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Now why would the muslim world feel that way? And frankly I don't give a damn how they feel one way or the other, as long as we keep kicking the jihadis asses.

“We sure as Hell should be!”
We should be at war with Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Tunisia, Kuwait, and the other Muslim nations which help and support the US????

You are so right. Mr Bush went out of his way to say this. Yet they still called him a madman, bigot, warmonger, etc. His successor says the same things and he is enlightened, a man of peace, etc etc.

“It's the Muslim World that is at war with us. Have been for ooooooh — 15 centuries?”
EXACTLY!! The relative peace for the last 450 years was brought about by the mooslimes' utter defeat while trying to conquer Europe. According to the Koran, they may keep a peace with infidels, if they're too weak to conquer them, but only as long as necessary to acquire the strength to resume the war.

America is bad, but he will fix it. Excellent observation, politicians, dems in particular all seem to have that in common.
Of course they have to create the "bad" part first so they can rail against it then propose their "solution".

But I also want to be clear that Americas relationship with the Muslim work cannot and will not be based on opposition to al Qaeda. Far from it. We seek broad engagement based upon mutual interests and mutual respect. We will listen carefully, bridge misunderstanding, and seek common ground. We will be respectful, even when we do not agree. Hussein said he IS ONE OF THEM? What the heck is he thinking? I guess that is why the muSLIMES wanted him to be elected.
