Liberals want us to be defenseless because they believe the United States and its culture and civilization are not worth defending. They believe that everything wrong with the world is our fault, and that we can make amends by unilaterally surrendering our weapons. Then, presumably, everyone will stop hating us and make peace and join hands and sing
Kumbaya in one great big circle jerk of love and peace and hopey-changey-ness.
All of which is to offer the observation that our present leaders are dangerously delusional and historically ignorant.
