Co-Workers Remember Cannon's 'Theater Of The Mind'

Tuesday was a sad day for many fans of WCCO radio. One of the legendary broadcasters of our time has passed away.

For 26 years, Steve Cannon was the afternoon drive host on WCCO-AM.

He passed away Monday night at his home in Minneapolis at the age of 81 after a brief battle with cancer.

As a former radio guy who grew up with Cannon...he was a once-in-a-lifetime talent. One of my idols and heros.

No one did it better.

He got the money......;-)

Sad to hear of this. I listened to Steve for many years when I lived in Minneapolis. I always got a kick out of his theme music "What do you mean you lost your dog?" Prayers to his family and his listeners on WCCO. He was always a class act.
