WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama went for the defining television shot in Iraq and got it — pictures of hundreds of U.S. troops cheering wildly as he told them it was time for the Iraqis to take charge of their own future. The war zone photo opportunity produced a stunning show of appreciation for Obama from military men and women who have made great sacrifices, many serving repeated tours in a highly unpopular war.

Enough of one to know that the Lord is always with the righteous regardless of what their countrymen might do.

So your saying this nation which kills unborn babies sometimes even up to the ninth month, homosexual marriage which up until 10 years ago would have been unheard of, and allowing a person with the moral values of an alley cat be elected President of the United States is just going to be winked at by our God and Saviour without any consequences.

God judges nations for their collective sins. Sure there are righteous people in this country but on a whole do you regard this as a righteous country? I don't.

God will take care of his own, but as a country we have be going against God and His Word since the 1960’s. How would you expect him to protect and bless this country under these circumstances.

If you will remember God had to punish Israel numerous times for their collective sins even though there were righteous people there at that time, and if he allowed the United States to continue in the direction it is going then he would have to back an apologize to Israel.

The nation of Israel was under special rules given to the Hebrew people. It’s not a valid comparison.

OK, I will give you that Israel was Gods chosen people and under a special covenant.

But the fact remains this country is not the same country of even 50 years ago. God can not turn a blind eye to what’s going on in this country. The United States has been the most blessed nation in the history of mankind, and those blessing came from the only One that can bestow those blessings. This nation as a whole has turned it back on God and whether you can admit or not, God can with hold his blessing and protection from us.

God promised us only eternal life through his Son, Jesus Christ. He never said that our life prior to His return would be easy. God can choose to bless, or not to bless, any person, people or nation as He sees fit. I'm sorry you are afraid that the gays and abortionists are going to put an end to some kind of cosmic gravy train, but "blessing for America" wasn't in any promise I ever found in the Bible.

Keep the faith and thank God for the blessing you have. Whether you maintain those blessings is up to you, not other people.

Seems we just have a small agreement, but that’s OK

2008 happened because the GOP started out the campaign with a circular firing squad, and ended up with history’s worst candidate ever.

Yes, very true. We had Reagan and Newt before Fox News or the Internet. We must fight harder and defy the media. The GOP seems intent on letting the media drive the story these days. Who will step out and speak around the media?
