As many have noted here on FR we need to take the Republican party back to it's conservative roots. The party needs fresh new leadership to do this IMHO. I believe we need, especially now, representation that will fight FOR America and our constitution and against the move toward socialism. This candidate for the AZ 8th district believes in America and her constitution and can be one of those leaders we so desperately need and I can say without hesitation that he embodies strong conservative principals. I know him well. He is my son-in-law.

I encourage those Freepers in the AZ 8th district to visit Jesse’s web site at: http://www.votejessekelly.com/ to find out more. The site was assembled quickly so that it would be available at the time of his announcement so it is not as detailed as it will be in the weeks to come but it will give you a good basic insight into him and his positions. There is also a nice picture of him with my lovely daughter and new grandson. (smile)

He will be in a tough fight against Dem. Incumbent Gabrielle Giffords and all the money the DNC will toss her way. So if any AZ Freepers feel the desire I am sure he would appreciate and welcome any volunteers, contributions, encouragement, prayers, and anything else you would offer.

Please excuse my shameless rant but I am so proud of Jesse and my daughter for making this commitment to do something pro-active to make our Country a better place for my grandson.

Good news. We need to support this Marine 100%.

We also need someone to run against Juan McCain.

“We also need someone to run against Juan McCain.”

McPain and ALL the rest of ‘em...

I bet I can count on ONE HAND the number of Conservatives in the Senate!

and unless we start replacing all these career politician RINO’s & ‘Rats and do so ASAP, we're soon not gonna have a country to vote in!

LOL Kelly!

Him being a Marine is why I gave him permission to marry my daughter since I am partial also.

Semper Fi,
P.S. Love your tagline!

As you know, Mr. Kelly wouldn't stand a chance with the California Republican Party. They'd support a communist before they'd support a man like Kelly.

I'm woefully ignorant of the Republican Party structure in Arizona. A state with a Senator McCain and a Sheriff Arpaio leaves a lot to the imagination.

CYank, not a shameless rant at all; this is a valuable and timely posting!

Good luck to Jesse!

Hmmm, I now find myself wondering if my own Marine son-in-law might be interested in running for office when he returns to civilian life.

Hmmm.

Take the fight to them. We need more military men and less lawyers in the Congress.

Congrats to you, CY. Gabby will give Jesse a run for his money. She is solidly backed by the Press here in CD8 and she is politically savvy enough to appear to be a Centrist when she can get away with it.

She is everyone’s buddy, ‘fighting’ for whatever particular cause appears to be important at the moment.

I’ll check out Jesse’s site, I know a few people he’s going to need to be in contact with.

*As you know, Mr. Kelly wouldn’t stand a chance with the California Republican Party.*

Interesting, Of San Diego’s 5 congressmen, 3 are conservative Republicans.

Including Marine Capt. Duncan D. Hunter in his 30s and served several tours in Iraq and Afgh.

So will Arizona’s betraying, McCain loving GOP. How do you think Gaby the ditz ever got elected here? The GOP gave her the seat because they hated Randy Graf, who beat their annointed Rino in the primary and was opposed to open borders.

You are right about Giffords but with prayer and the help of good people like you we can give her a good run and, lord willing, prevail.

I agree. We need to get vets to run in more seats. Ike was one of our best Presidents. He played golf most of the time but things ran pretty smoothly. The last President to really protect our borders and warn us about the defense industry getting to powerful. Today it would be lawyers, hedge funds, ACORN, La Raza, CAIR and other anti-American groups.

So that’s your beautiful daughter on Jesse’s Facebook pic? I’m meeting him for lunch on Friday....I’m chair of LD 26 and the pcs in my district will do EVERYTHING we can to help him.

Jesse was at my last LD 26 meeting. I’ve been in touch with him; saw him last night at the U of A for a CR event (David Horowitz, guest speaker) and will be meeting him for lunch this Friday for a strategy meeting.

He spoke at a LD 28 meeting last Saturday, and I’m sure he will be spending a LOT of time in LD 30 as well.

I promise the PCs in LD 26 will do EVERY thing we can to help him; problem is where do we get 2-3 million?

Excuse me; it was the NATIONAL NRCC that betrayed us in CD8. They supported Kolbe’s choice in an OPEN primary. Horrible hit pieces on both Randy and another candidate were distributed, and Randy was badly damaged by the time he won the primary.

We have new leadership in the AZ Party since then, a great Republican, Randy Pullen, who helped elect a lot of conservatives to the State legislature the past cycle.

The State Republican Party is strong.

The GOP establishment in Arizona is HAPPY Giffords won. They will do everything in their power to keep the Democrat in office, if the alternative is a conservative.

Yeah, big problem. Let me ask some folks about NRA in-kind support; any chance of a 527 group to support him?

This is a district, (if I remember right) that was the 5th CD. Rino Jim, light in the loafers, Kolbe held on to for about 20 years. The biggest reason it went to a democrat was that Kolbe would not endorse the Republican candidate because he was too conservitive.

All things being equal, the best organization usually wins.

Interesting, Of San Diego’s 5 congressmen, 3 are conservative Republicans.

This is for the benefit of lurkers. The following has been burned into the psyche of California conservatives.

When given the choice, the California Republican Party supported an Austrian national in the 2003 election .... for governor of one of the US's most influential and prosperous states!

When given the choice during the 2006 election cycle, the California Republican Party closed the gubernatorial nominating process to assure the nomination of a proven European socialist, a decision that would bring an economic powerhouse to the brink of insolvency.

and since there are more democrats in Calif. and the vast majority of new kids who register are far left, you won’t see another conservative Republican in State Office.

It is different than the days I worked for Reagan at his headquarters here for gov.

Reagan could not win today in Calif.

The Republicans do what they can here.

The general public needs to visit public schools around them.
check out the text books and what the teachers are drilling into them.

For over fifty years the public schools are breeding grounds for newly registered democrats.

Many like to blame others that way it takes the responsibility away from themselves when they haven’t worked to expose the public schools starting with elementary grades.

Do the math, more democrats, more democrat in St. and Fed gov.

The last guy to run against Giffords, Tim Bee is a flaming RINO. As majority Republican leader of the Senate he joined with the Democrats to pass their budget. Shades of Cogdill and Villines in CA, who are (were in the case of Cogdill) the so-called Republican leaders in the Senate and Assembly. That S*B Bee deserved to lose but the people of Arizona don’t deserve Giffords and her rubber stamping Zero’s communist agenda.
